- TriviaAnthony Edward's character of Owen Cairo shows up to the drop off point wearing almost the exact same attire as Steve McQueen as Bullitt wore during the famous car chase: Brown suede shoes (albeit not chukka style like Bullitt's), dark trousers, very dark blue or black turtleneck with a tweed blazer.
- GoofsIn season 3 (8 Mar. 2013), Whitney Robshaw tells Frank Reagan that they had met at Erin's 40th Birthday, so there for it cannot be Erin's 40th in November 2015.

Jamie Reagan: Sir, get back in your car, please.
Judge Schlossberg: I'm sorry, officer, did you read my license plate?
Eddie Janko: Yeah, we did read your license plate. Did you read the stop sign?
Judge Schlossberg: Are you kidding?
Eddie Janko: Oh, I'm afraid not, Your Honor.
Judge Schlossberg: Son, can you get a handle on your cute little partner here?
Jamie Reagan: Sir, she is simply pointing out your moving violation, as is her job.
Judge Schlossberg: I didn't break any law.
Eddie Janko: You rolled through a stop sign.
Judge Schlossberg: Reagan? As in Frank?
Jamie Reagan: He's my father, yes, and ADA Erin Reagan's my sister, who works for your nephew, who opened up this particular can of worms this morning. You got a beef, I suggest you take it up with him.
Judge Schlossberg: This is harassment, Officer Reagan!
Jamie Reagan: No, this was a routine traffic stop, sir. Strictly by the book. Have a good day.

Donnie Wahlberg however does not get his usual grisly homicide. It's a stolen car instead. But what a car, the one that Steve McQueen drove in that famous car chase in Bullitt. The current owner Anthony Edwards feels that his unfaithful wife and a boyfriend did the deed. But it doesn't feel right to Wahlberg and his instincts are usually right.
Love the scene in the end when the Reagan men get to see the car and get to feel close to that Hollywood icon who drove it.
