Louisa returns to the scene. On the surface, nothing has changed. The first thing that Martin does is to examine her, instead of emotionally embracing her. It is obvious that he has great feelings but hasn't a clue. He finally met his therapist in the previous episode and she is going to become a significant part of the series. The more prominent focus is the first set of guests to come to Al Large's B & B. They are exposed to one horror after another, starting with a mouse that appears in the kitchen a few minutes before their arrival. Soon, Al has nearly killed both of them. In a different world, Al would be entering the wide world of litigation. Also, Ruth has been irresponsibly ignored a very serious medical condition. Finally, Bert precipitates another faux pas.
