- There is a graphic rape scene, shown with male rear nudity and a lot of thrusting. The rape scene is long.
- A lot of naked dead bodies and a sex trade uncovered in the first two episodes. Most of the naked dead bodies are young women, displayed in full glory for a few seconds from different angles. No comparable male nudity.
- Season 3 - two scenes of rough, thrusting intercourse.

- Season 3 - two painful scenes of animal cruelty. A man graphically shoots a dog for being "useless", and a woman picks up a rock and bludgeons an injured dog to death. Short scenes, but graphic nonetheless.
- Season 3 - a woman beats a man with a pipe; later shows the remains of his bloody, destroyed face and head.
- Season 3 - A man splits open another man's stomach and inserts a live rat to chew his guts. The dead, bloated rat is later held up for inspection.
- Season 3 - a woman sews a child's mouth, eyes, and ears shut.
- Season 3 - A naked woman is chained to a bar in a shower. Her back is bloody with blisters and cuts. Another woman washes her vigorously.
- Season 3 - A man and woman have a violent physical fight while arguing.
- Season 3 - an elderly couple is slashed, and the bloody bodies strung up on metal scaffolding.

- Season 3 - a pregnant woman is chained to bed and held captive.
- Season 3 - a noose is tied around a man's neck and he is dragged violently behind a speeding car, and later hanged from a bridge. There are close ups of his shredded, bloody back.
- Season 1 : a woman covered in bruises who's been severly abused has to be restrained in a hospital bed. Very depressing.
- Two men break into a house and a hold an entire family hostage. Very intense.
- a woman decides to have sex with her kidnapper in an attempt to a avoid being hurt by him. She gets pregnant from him still being held captive. The whole scene is very violent and disturbing.
- Season 3 is a lot more violent than the previous seasons of the show.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Rotting corpses are discovered. There are close ups of them on the pathologist's table. A woman is hit in the head with a rock and falls over a cliff. A man is stabbed in the stomach. A woman and her child are shot at close range in a car. There is panic in a crowd when a sniper opens fire. Very little blood/gore are shown.
- Season 3 - a deliberate poisoning causes multiple deaths of adults and children. The hospital is quarantined. The victims bleed from the nose and mouth and their organs corrode. Autopsies shown in detail. Extremely gruesome.
- Corpses with missing pieces are shown in graphic detail. It is later discovered that they were made with a butcher knife by a canibalist murder.
