Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles is a good Simpsons episode with a well written storyline and plenty of very funny scenes. Its an interesting episode as we see, for the first time ever, Bart and Lisa dealing with hormones, showing a new level a maturity to them that I never expected the Simpsons to do. Sofia Vergara also provides one of the best guest spots in the season so far as Bart's new teacher, putting Bart in a lovestruck position and providing fun conflict with Principal Skinner. I did feel that the set up of the episode was poor, as these hormones are not triggered by natural puberty, but instead a new milk product Homer buys that has a bad effect on the kids, it ruins their chances of being a deep, sweet episode with this, instead of making it a realistic struggle. I also felt Lisa's story did not go as far as it could have, we should have seen her rise to the very top in terns of popularity before falling down again, she only ever becomes modestly popular, it should have been developed more, making her the coolest kid in school. Not without its flaws, Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles is a very entertaining Simpsons episode.
Homer buys a new brand of milk which has a major hormonal effect on his children, as Bart pursues his new teacher and Lisa becomes popular.
