They went on the journey with us. They went there and back again

This consists of interviews with the cast and crew, all of whom have something compelling to add within their area of expertise(and there is a very clear love of what they're working on), clips from the movie, behind-the-scenes footage, and incomplete effects shots.

It's 8 and a half minutes long. This is found on my library's copy of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

They talk about what it's like looking back on making the Lord of the Rings. The pressure of designing and producing Gollum. Getting matching Elvish tattoos. The first Oscar win for a fantasy picture. 10 years later returning to do The Hobbit. 266 days shoot on both of the trilogies. The importance of getting Smaug to look just right, since it could jeopardise the entire film if you get it wrong. A battle unlike any other in the medium. Keeping the focus on the hero characters since they're the driving force, and making sure the action isn't at the cost of them.

I recommend this to any fan of the property. 8/10
