- Elijah Mikaelson: [reads note Aurora left next to corpse] "Roses are red, lavender is blue, come find me before I find you."
- Elijah Mikaelson: [on bed, passion ensuing] Well, that was fun. Delightful. Delirious.
- [she laughs]
- Elijah Mikaelson: Delicious... fun.
- Aurora de Martel: [panting] And yet, you would appear to want more.
- [he strokes her hair]
- Aurora de Martel: I fear I've not satisfied you.
- Elijah Mikaelson: Your fears are absurd.
- Aurora de Martel: [jumps on top of him] I'm not fragile, you know. You do not have to treat me so gently.
- Elijah Mikaelson: I do not wish to hurt you.
- Aurora de Martel: Well, then make me like you. Do to me what you did to Lucien.
- Elijah Mikaelson: You know not what you ask.
- Aurora de Martel: Well, I know we'd no longer have to hide our love. Not from my father, my brother, not from anyone. If I were like you, I would be beholden to no one, and we could be together truly, with no boundaries.
- Elijah Mikaelson: [he sits upright, she nuzzles against his chest] You... are perfect... just the way you are. Take, for example, these... lovely long locks. Now, how did you manage to capture the scent of a summer's day in the tresses of your hair?
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: Not a fan of goats, huh?
- Davina Claire: I love goats. But you know how many of them I've had to sacrifice? Just once, I'd like to get a gift card.
- [Hayley chuckles, takes a swig of beer straight from the bottle]
- Davina Claire: I mean, I know this is a tradition, but It's just not... me. And you know what I really hate?
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: That choker scarf?
- Davina Claire: This choker scarf. You know, I only wore it because Josephine did. And I thought that maybe if... I were more like her, then... then maybe they would respect me.
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: Here.
- [hands over the bottle of beer]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: You need this more than I do.
- [Davina accepts, takes hearty swig from the bottle]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: You know, Davina, I... I wasn't okay with what you had me do to the Versailles coven. But I'm guessing that you're not okay with It, either. So you're running from It, pretending to be someone that you're not. Someone who you think that they want you to be. Do you know what I learned? No one is gonna respect you until you show them who you really are. So... if you're gonna wear old lady choker scarves,
- [removes the dated old thing]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: you're gonna get old lady goats.
- [they're friends now]
- Rebekah Mikaelson: We have our own torments, Aurora. None that I would dare wish on another.
- Aurora de Martel: Your moments of hunger and blood do not frighten me. Niklaus once told me he never felt more alive than when he became what he is.
- Rebekah Mikaelson: And do we seem alive to you? Hiding in your family's manor, pretending to be of a class and a statute that we are not? We are cursed.
- Aurora de Martel: Perhaps. But your curse is nothing... compared to mine. Please go. I want to sleep.
- Rebekah Mikaelson: [tries to pacify] Sweet girl.
- Aurora de Martel: [tells how she took her own life] Your sister smelled of wild berries. It was intoxicating.
- [remembers how she climbed onto chair to jump out of window]
- Aurora de Martel: And the night smelled of lavender.
- [how the wind howled...]
- Aurora de Martel: I could see the garden from above... The last thing I remember as a human was that scent... which clung to me all the way down.
- Aurora de Martel: You can always catch an insect with the smell of a flower.
- [pricks finger with needle]
- Aurora de Martel: But it is the smell of blood that draws a carnivore.
