To Catch A Serial Killer
This is a slightly off-beat documentary about one of the lesser known monsters to have prowled the streets of modern day America. Larry Dewayne Hall drove around in his van kidnapping and murdering girls. It is not known how many victims he claimed, he would confess to a crime then retract it claiming he had only been explaining a dream.
Hall was already behind bars when the detective who put him there came up with an innovative idea to obtain confessions to his other crimes, he sent in a man he had busted for drug dealing to befriend Hall, win his confidence and share his secrets.
This documentary talks to that man, James Keene, who was serving a ten year sentence. There is a lot more to it, but at the end of the day, short of torturing Hall until he provides proper corroboration, no one will know exactly how many victims he claimed.
