This episode sets up the final season. Prosser and Mathias seem to be add odds, but it has to do with something that Prosser did in an earlier case (or something we are not privy to). I inadvertently watched episode 3.1 and wondered what event took place at the conclusion of Season 2. Now I know. The frame is being formed and Mathias is in the frame. But there are cohorts involved as we have seen in numerous approaches to Prosser by what appear to be superiors. This episode involves the murder of a man who had been convicted to killing his wife. This happens not long after he returns to the seaside village. It appears that there is more to this case than meets the eye, but those in power are doing what they can to slow down the investigation. Mathias, however, is a bulldog and is going to create trouble for people.
