- Prairie Johnson: The future is dark. Not dark, like, bad. Just dark. You can't see it. And maybe living is just bringing light to what you need in a day. Just - seeing the day. Or at least that's what I'm learning in therapy.
- Elias Rahim: You know why we, uh why we like to be hugged? The way I see it, it sets a limit on the pain. You know? Puts a perimeter around it.
- [both chuckle]
- Elias Rahim: How big can the pain be, really?
- Prairie Johnson: This is where I am now.
- Steve Winchell: [has just kissed her] I like your laugh.
- Angie: If I laugh again - 'cause that's so fucking corny - do I get another kiss?
- Steve Winchell: Let me see some more of your shit first.
- Angie: Are you gonna dump pig's blood on my head at prom?
- Steve Winchell: Not unless you think that's hot.
- Nancy Johnson: How long did you two date?
- Prairie Johnson: Oh, I don't know. About 4 months or something? I don't think he liked me.
- Nancy Johnson: He liked you. Of course he liked you.
- Prairie Johnson: I mean, maybe he liked that I couldn't see him.
- Abel Johnson: [starts laughing almost chocking while drinking his water]
- Steve Winchell: How did you survive so long down there?
- Prairie Johnson: I survived because I wasn't alone.
