Every scene was shot in one continuous take.
There's a scene where Cameron (Cameron Coleman) smokes a cigar and pantomimes various business-like mannerisms behind a desk to Blues in Hoss Flat by Count Basie Orchestra. This is a reference to The Errand Boy (1961) starring Jerry Lewis, who was, as Cameron also says in the film, a comedian he "loved growing up".
Though there is a script, some of the dialogue is improvised. This is because most of the cast consist of improv comedians, so they got to play around with scenes during the long takes, like they would on stage.
Cameron Coleman came up with the title.
