In the first trailer for “Dream Horse,” Toni Collette plays an ordinary Welsh woman with aspirations for something greater. So she gathers her community to contribute the money to buy a racing horse and watches her dreams become a reality.
Euros Lyn’s film is based on the true story of Jan Vokes, who successfully bred a champion race horse named Dream Alliance against all odds in coordination with the people in her small town. Vokes convinced her neighbors to contribute 10 quid a week for two years until they could afford it, and their investment paid off big time.
The film premiered at Sundance to acclaim and a few tears of joy, including from Collette herself.
“I’m so proud of you. It seems like anything is possible,” she says to the horse after raising it from a foal.

Touted as Pakistan’s most ambitious feature yet, this dull and daft romance can’t even copy clichés competently
Related: Bajrangi Bhaijaan review: Salman Khan strong even when wet as he escorts mute six-year-old back to Pakistan
Last week’s Hindi-language Eid release Bajrangi Bhaijaan posited that India and Pakistan have more that unites than separates them. Its Urdu equivalent Bin Roye, touted as Pakistan’s most ambitious feature yet, suggests that Bollywood and Lollywood – the industry based in Lahore – remain some distance apart. The former film had star power, expansive scope and an undeniable melodramatic potency; the latter unfolds on overlit soap sets on which thirtysomething performers make like goo-goo-eyed kids. Perhaps it’s telling the source is a widely-read romance; still, on this evidence of this terminally sappy drama, the book must have made Nicholas Sparks read like James Ellroy.

Here's good news for the sub-continent fans of Salman Khan!
It is now official that the Kabir Khan directed Salman, Kareena and Nawazuddin starrer, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has been cleared by the Indian censor board (Cbfc) and granted a UA certificate. The film has a total running time of 2 hours and 30 minutes (exactly 159.19 minutes).
Not only that, as per sources, the Pakistani censor board too has given the go ahead to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, unlike teams previous venture, Ek Tha Tiger, and so Salman's fans can enjoy the film in theatres there too. However the film but may release in Pakistan a week later, to avoid a clash with Mahira Khan's local film Bin Roye, though it is still not certain.
The keenly awaited Bajrangi Bhaijaan is all set to commence its record smashing 200 crore plus (expected) run, this Friday.
