The CW first came up with the idea of Superhero Fight Club as a part of a commercial campaign to promote The Flash. In 2016, with the second season of Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl coming to the network, the network brought Superhero Fight Club back with version 2.0. Both ads are highly entertaining, but they have existed solely in the subset universe of PR material.
In this episode of Supergirl, "Survivors" a version of Superhero Fight Club is brought to the small screen ... well, kind of. On Supergirl, only one superhero is really involved and there are not many costumes. There are, however, lots and lots of aliens.

You’ve probably seen the second Superhero Fight Club by now; if you haven’t and you’ve got four minutes to spare, go give this a click. It’s great fun, not necessarly part of The DC-cw continuity, and it brings Supergirl in to play with the boys. And Felicity, of course.
Spoiler Alert! (I’ve always wanted to say that!) From this point forward, I’m going to write stuff that presumes you’ve seen Superhero Fight Club 2, although as spoilers go, I’ve already spoiled it with my choice of graphics and my headline. Sue me.
Easily, the coolest part of the short is the “surprise” appearance of Gorilla Grodd, who already has been established in The Flash teevee series. But, let’s face it, Gorilla Grodd usually is the coolest part of damn near everything he’s ever appeared in, dating back to his introduction in...

After spending her debut season over on CBS, Supergirl is flying over to The CW this fall to join the rest of the network’s DC heroes. And that means it’s time for Kara to get inducted into one of the franchise’s burgeoning traditions, Superhero Fight Club. The first Superhero Fight Club promo aired last year, pitting the […]

Last week, The CW released the highly anticipated follow-up to the Superhero Fight Club video which took the internet by storm last year. Unfortunately, it was only available on their newly launched app, something which proved to be a problem for those outside of the Us or without a phone capable of downloading it. Thankfully, the full version has now been released, and it’s definitely well worth a watch.
Featuring Supergirl, The Flash, Green Arrow, and characters from the Legends of Tomorrow team, the heroes soon find the odds stacked against them as Felicity Smoak, Cisco Ramone, Diggle, and Martian Manhunter push their abilities to the limit with some serious fight training.

Assuming you weren’t too distracted by Tyler Hoechlin’s wink of steel (gif’d here) in the latest trailer for Supergirl‘s upcoming second season, you may have caught this little gem towards the end of the minute-long video: “We’re moving back to Gotham.”

The first Superhero Fight Club video was a lot of fun, but the second was even more highly anticipated due to it including not only returning favourites like Green Arrow and The Flash, but characters from the worlds of Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow too. However, in a bid to promote The CW's new app, they only made it available on there, something which proved to be a pain for non-us based fans. They were also quick to remove versions uploaded to YouTube by fans, meaning that the majority were stuck only being able to watch the first minute or so. It's a good job then that The CW has finally uploaded the full version, and you can check it out in its entirety below. As well as seeing all of the heroes doing battle, we get some fun moments with Cisco, Diggle, and even Martian Manhunter!

In what looks like behind-the-scenes footage from The CW's Dare to Defy and Superhero Fight Club 2.0 promos, we get our first glimpse of the long-promised, redesigned helmet for original Team Arrow member, Diggle aka Spartan (David Ramsey). Arrow season 5 will see Diggle return to the military but for undisclosed reasons, he returns home and isn't thrilled to find Oliver (Stephen Amell) training a whole new team. However, he's apparent.y won over as previously released footage has shown Diggle training Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), Artemis (Madison McLaughlin), Ragman (Joe Dinicol) and Mr. Terific (Echo Kellum). Arrow kicks off a brand new season, this Wednesday at 8/7c on The CW. Will you be tuning in?...

The Arrowverse crossover has become something of an annual CW tradition, ever since Barry Allen made his first appearance on Arrow in 2013. Arrow and the the Flash reunited again when the latter got his own show in 2015, and last year the crossover expanded even further to include characters from the then-upcoming series Legends of Tomorrow. But this […]

The milestone hour will welcome back Susanna Thompson, who played Moira Queen in the first two seasons of the CW series, Entertainment Weekly reports.
It’s anyone’s guess how Moira will reappear — when last we saw her, she was being killed by Deathstroke — but given Arrow‘s affinity for flashbacks, it’s probably safe to assume we’ll be seeing a past version of Oliver and Thea’s mother. Or given that the episode...

The CW’s Superhero Fight Club has a new member, and she couldn’t be more giddy to join the ranks.
Supergirl gets “kidnapped” by the heroes of Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow in a new promo, featuring an upgraded training facility equipped for the Girl of Steel’s powers, with Team Tech (aka Cisco and Felicity) in the control room. Unlike the previous heroes vs. villains fight club video, there are no bad guys to be found this year — at least not in the teaser above.

The CW's Superhero Fight Club is back and they have a brand new participant, Supergirl! Unlike the previous version, the new ring appears to be a Danger Room-esque training room where Green Arrow, Flash, Atom, White Canary, Supergirl and Firestorm work together to take down a GLaDOS-like apparatus. The new promo video also features cameos from Cisco, Felicty, Diggle, Martian Manhunter and another surprise guest I won't spoil. The new season of Dctv on The CW kicks off this Tuesday with The Flash at 8/7c on the CW. That's followed by Arrow on Wednesday and Supergirl on Monday, October 10. Rounding out the season premieres is Legends of Tomorrow on Thursday, October 13. Update: It seems the video was intended to be viewed exclusively on The CW App so YouTubers are being hit with copyright strikes left and right. The Big Bad battle lines have been drawn.
This fall’s four-way crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will pit the super crew against DC Comics’ Dominators, TVLine has learned. Arrow and Legends Ep Marc Guggenheim says he’s “taking inspiration from a DC crossover from the late 1980s known as Invasion!, which featured an alien race called the Dominators, who’d previously vexed the Legion of Superheroes.
“We’re using cutting-edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look,” Guggenheim adds, “which is faithful to Invasion! artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters.

The first rule of Superhero Fight Club, of course, is that everybody is talking about Superhero Fight Club. And they seem to be saying only negative things about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, director Zack Snyder's heavily hyped, hotly anticipated, budget-busting celebrity death match is shaping up as the Gigli of comic book blockbusters. Intended as the launchpad for a multi-character spandex ballet of DC Comics adaptations, Snyder's long, incoherent, joyless superhero smackdown enjoyed a record-breaking opening weekend at the global box office. But it may not prove quite so critic-proof over the long haul after the near-
