An adult female's battered corpse, found in a river whirlpool, is identified as an obsessive cookie jars collector. Suspects include the main supplier she publicly vilified, a rival collector, someone who believes she had his Babe Ruth jar stolen and her own neglected heiress-daughter. Booth is meanwhile caught between his addicts' anonymous meetings, bookie and Bones' complete lack of understanding.
