Dylan Dreyer’s perception of a big celebrity guest changed significantly once she finally met him.
Dreyer, the familiar face from NBC’s Today, often appears as a meteorologist or on-air replacement host for the show. She is regularly seen hosting Today’s 3rd Hour program.
Due to her involvement with the shows, she meets plenty of celebrities at the studio or elsewhere for interviews and other segments.
She was a celebrity guest at The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, where she played golf earlier this month.
While speaking with the media there, Dreyer recalled meeting several of her favorite stars.
One of them was Bryan Cranston, whom she revealed she was shocked by upon first meeting him.
Dreyer recalled thinking Cranston was ‘standoffish’
Today’s Dylan Dreyer indicated that Breaking Bad’s Cranston wasn’t quite how she’d expected him to be in person.

One of the most beloved classic rock songs of the late 1970s is Kiss’ “I Was Made for Lovin’ You.” The tune was written on the piano. Subsequently, the track became one of many examples of rock bands making disco music during that era.
How Kiss’ ‘I Was Made for Lovin’ You’ is connected to Bon Jovi and Alice Cooper
Desmond Child is the songwriter behind hits like Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” and Alice Cooper’s “Poison.” He co-wrote “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” with Vini Poncia and Kiss’ Paul Stanley. During a 2019 interview with The Tennessean, Child discussed how he co-wrote the song. “I went to a Kiss rehearsal in New York City, and they had this huge soundstage, with mountains of Marshall amps and all the guitars and everything,” he recalled.

The movie, currently streaming, stars Kevin Hart as Sonny Fisher, a musician and stay-at-home dad who manages to find some coveted time away from breadwinner-wife Maya (Regina Hall) and their kids by joining carefree pal Huck (Mark Wahlberg) on a hedonistic weekend adventure that quickly goes awry. Gotham City is getting a new protector.
“In the Heights” star Leslie Grace and “Five Feet Apart” actress Haley Lu Richardson are emerging as top contenders to take the role of Barbara Gordon in “Batgirl,” the upcoming HBO Max superhero film.
Testing for the role has already started. Isabela Merced, who has appeared in “Sicario: Day of the Soldado” and “Dora and the Lost City of Gold,” and Zoey Deutch, the star of “Zombieland: Double Tap” and “Why Him?,” have already tested or will test for the role. It’s possible that the search will expand beyond these names — because it’s, you know, a search — and today’s front-runner is tomorrow’s also-ran when it comes to casting.
“Batgirl” will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the directing pair behind “Bad Boys for Life,” one of the few box office successes of pandemic-ravaged 2020. Christina Hodson (“The Flash”) wrote the screenplay.

In a heated auction with multiple studios bidding, Netflix won movie rights to Dr. Rapp, and already is eyeing for John Hamburg to write the script and direct the film. The Atlantic magazine article by Jeff Maysh was published in January under How a Stroke Turned a 63-Year-Old Into a Rap Legend. It became the year’s first heated material acquisition.
David Klawans (Argo) will produce with Michael Sugar (Spotlight) and Ashley Zalta through Sugar23’s first-look Netflix deal.
Article tells the story of Dr. Sherman Hershfield, a respected neurologist from Beverly Hills who practiced medicine in the San Fernando Valley. When Hershfield suffered a stroke, an unusual side effect changed his life forever: He couldn’t stop speaking in rhyme. Remarkably, Hershfield then emerged in South Central as a freestyle performer, Dr. Rapp.

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of film critics two questions and publishes the results on Monday.
This week’s question: Who is the best American actor / actress under 30, and why?
Lindsey Romain (@lindseyromain), Freelance for /Film, Vulture and Thrillist
I’ve never felt so fully attuned to a young actor than I have to Timmy Chalamet, who – even before breakthroughs in “Lady Bird” and “Call Me By Your Name” – was impressive as hell in smaller projects like “Homeland” and “Miss Stevens.” I knew right away that he was insanely and specifically talented, could recognize that raw talent, and can’t wait to see it flourish beyond his current constraints.
Kristen Lopez (@Journeys_Film), Freelance for Culturess, The Young Folks
In this landscape of increased diversity and a desire to elevate different voices I wanted to find an actor or actress who wasn’t the go-to person for this type of question.
