A different taste of Grimm
ManjeetG8 January 2019
Wow! An awesome finale to Season 4! The many events that took place in the previous episodes were setting the scene for this final one of the season. Gruesome happenings, shock turn after turn of events, outcomes we did not envisage - once again Grimm did not disappoint. Stellar performances from the whole cast. Bravo!

The World of Grimm Would not be Same
amitgalphade31 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
The finale of this season (4th) has been extremely well done and full of surprises. The 21st episode had prepared us for one event but the final episode was definitely better than the expectation.

Lot has happened in this episode. The story has left us pondering in which direction are we going to go. To start with life of Grimm aka Nick has altered completely. The episode began with the death of one family member and ended with one more. Something in this line would have been expected but the way it panned out was rather surprising. But Nick's reaction was not surprising. If he would have done it, it would not have been poetic justice.

But this is just part of puzzle. The happenings at the ware house and in the helicopter were surprises. But more importantly these events have completely altered the balance of war between the Royals and the Resistance. As of now we do not know what has happened with Prince Victor but now it will be of great importance with the happenings of aforementioned events. Same is applicable for Captain Renard.

Well so far this has been the best final episode of all the final episodes of previous three seasons. Usually the last three season finals have set tone for the next season (well I know it is expected) but most of the things that happened in the previous three seasons final episodes have been rectified or reversed. But this time it would not be, hopefully.

One thing is for sure. The world of Grimm would not be same.

Bad Night For Nick
Anonnamus17 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Great night for me! I squealed like a schoolgirl at the end of the episode. Strange how a few short episodes can have me rooting for and against completely different characters. Can I just say that Adalind has the best lines of them all and that she's actually adorable? I hated her the first three seasons and it's pretty impressive on the part of the actress that she was able to completely change my mind.

  • I was truly hoping Juliette would embrace her inner hexenbiest and become an asset of Team Grimm. I don't particularly care for her as a villain, mainly because it happened so quickly the audience never really got time to adjust. I should probably have felt worse about her fate but instead I felt...nothing.

  • Please tell me they're not setting up a Nick/Adalind relationship. They have entirely too much bad blood between them for things to ever work out. Besides, Adalind needs to be with Meisner, if that guy ever shows up again. I really hope he does, I liked him.

  • What a terrible death for the most badass Grimm of all time. No way should Kelly have been taken down by two henchman and a spoiled royal. Granted, she was set up by someone she trusted and distracted by trying to keep her teenage looking 6 month old baby from harm's way, but still. I'm disappointed that Mary Stuart Masterson was unable to resume her role, she was one of my favorite characters. I'm also disappointed that they didn't even bother trying to find a body double that resembled her. It looked like they used a short perky ten year old with curly hair.

  • Nick is a terrible detective. I mean, he saw the soot on the mouse ages ago. Shouldn't he have wondered why Juliette would be using the computer? Did he perhaps think she was looking for another place to rent? After everything she had done thus far, he should have known that she would stop at nothing.

  • I have to say that Grimm has a tremendous supporting cast. Hank, Sean, Wu, Monroe, Rosalee, Adalind...this show would be nothing without them.

  • I had my issues with Trubel when she first appeared, but her comeback made me very happy. I do think she will be a great addition should she make the main cast.

  • I literally squealed out loud when the pilot turned out to be Meisner. I was not expecting him to show up, so that was the best surprise ever!

Season 4 has underwent a complete transformation from the previous 3 seasons and its Monster of the Week format, and I am loving it. I'm actually looking forward to watching the next couple of seasons! Up to this point, I was forcing myself through them as I cannot not finish what I start. Keep up the good work, Grimm!

Worst episode of the series
mweratcliffe31 January 2019
After all the things that this group of characters has been through they all suddenly decide that they can't trust what Nick is telling them - like what he is suggesting is way too incredible compared to everything, anything they have seen and heard before and just immediately accepted. Screen writer "crap". We have all suspended our disbelief to go along with the story because in some way the characters all seemed grounded in the real world. This season the writers have taken all of that grounding away and every character has been written in one or more sense to behave out of character and frequently as if they are psychotic. I'm now going to finish the series I once really enjoyed just to see how much worse the writing can get.

Disappointing even for this show
mikewold5 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The final combat scenes were awesome in the end, but the writing like always with Grimm is lacking. I assume the actress who played Kelly Burkhardt was unavailable which is why they killed her off in this way, but it seemed like a waste of amazing character development. This show has some of the worst character development I have seen in a long time (Ex.Hank/Wu/Rosalee), but the one time they struck gold was with Kelly. For a character who randomly appears her character development was the best in my opinion. We just meet her for a few episodes and we see all that she is about (a mysterious no nonsense grimm with a somewhat open mind who regrets the life she chose leaving her son). My favorite scene with her was when Monroe and Rosalee gave her a ride back to nicks house and she talks about how she is beginning to change her mind about wesan in general. Kelly's character was developed better than anyone else on the show except Nick/Monroe and...they kill her off in the most irritating lazy way imaginable (head in a box really?) with no impactful final dialogue. They killed off this character so they could provide an ending to the unlikeable juliette character they drew up who was horrible and inconsistent in character behavior. Very disappointing, but then again I don't think anyone took this show seriously to begin with.

The writer's stupidity shines through with this season.
thormach29 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Juliette seeks revenge against her boyfriend Nick because her boyfriend Nick was raped by a hexenbiest. How dare Nick allow himself to be raped... So to punish Nick for being raped Juliette will destroy his family's legacy, have an affair with the supreme bad guy in Nick's bed, kill Nick's mom, and kidnap an innocent girl to deliver to the bad guys... Oh and threaten to kill their mutual friends. AND then claim not to know the bad guys would want to kill their nemesis that they tried to kill multiple times before...

Juliette is supposed to be well educated and extremely intelligent but this season the writers turned her into a sniveling whiny moronic snowflake seeking revenge against the victims instead of against the perpetrators of the crime.

That scene at the end of episode 22 when the helicopter is landing at the King's estate is one of the dumbest I have ever seen. The entire attack party runs inside the house because everyone knows helicopters pick people up from inside the house and not on the back lawn of the house.

Unbelievable. In an irritating way
alnical77729 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This entire series is based on fantasy. It's unique (for this type of fantasy). In every episode we suspend disbelief for the entertainment value. Now we have this episode, and based on every episode, Hank's behavior is totally out of character. He runs to the captain's office to basically tattle on Nick because he's going off "the deep end". If I'd never seen any previous episodes, I'd say Hank didn't like Nick, is incredibly jealous of him, and wants to get him in trouble for some reason. Everyone in this episode doubts Nick. Hank just seems to be the one who enjoys trying to get people to think Nick is nuts. Nothing Nick does or says is out of character for him or the show. Making everyone else act like they just started this series makes it very annoying. A few episodes ago. Hank was possessed by someone else's spirit animal. Adalind was a hexenbiest who lost her powers, got them back, and has now suppressed them after drinking a potion made up of her dead mother. I could go on. But for some reason Juliet going to the house is unbelievable even though no one saw her get on the helicopter. It was believable that his mother's head was in a box but not that someone took it. Or, that they took Trubel. Does anyone call Trubel just to check his story? No.
