I really want to ask Michael Connelly a question about this TV drama series adapted from his "Harry Bosch" novels: "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"
As one of the loyal readers who've faithfully followed Michael Connelly and the great character he had created, I kinda found myself speechless when I tried my best to watch this adapted TV series for about 5 episodes and had to cancel and stop watching it. My only thought when I decided not to go on was: "Jesus, WHAT YOU HAVE DONE, MAN?!" Every thing in this drama series, from the main cast to those supporting ones, the directing, the editing, the completely reshuffled storyline, the historical background.....on and on, nothing is right, man. And I have to say, if this TV series was not originated from the novels, it still sucks big time. Just terrible to watch.
I also noticed that Michael Connelly has contributed his latest novel to Titus Welliver, the guy who played Harry Bosch. The immediate thought when I came to that front page and noticed the author wrote: "For Titus Welliver..." was "Jesus....." I was just speechless since I considered the actor is one of the major reasons that made this series absolutely unbearable. The disastrous wrong cast is like Tom Cruise has totally ruined Lee Child's "Jack Reacher" image.
This "Bosch" is a lousy adaptation that has completely ruined Michael Connelly's 20 years hardworking creation; one of the most respectable and large-than-life vivid and ideal role model of a police detective....has fatally ruined by this mediocre TV series. Sadly, the author of this great novel series now is also the producer of this lousy TV drama series. What a shame.....
