A new Call of Duty bundle is out for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, and people aren’t as excited about it.
The ‘Vibrant Vixen’ bundle that carries a new operator skin and other goodies is being dragged by a few on social media for how out-of-place it looks. The issue with anime skins stretches far, and it might be the last straw for some.

The latest Call of Duty skin bundle has mixed reviews
Activision’s popular franchise has been swerving in terms of direction for ages now, and it doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Less than 24 hours ago, the company dropped a new cosmetics bundle for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, titled the ‘Vibrant Vixen.’

Over time, these shows have evolved, delving into deeper character development and exploring intricate plotlines, including romantic arcs such as that between Green Lantern and Hawkgirl in the Justice League animated series.

Andrew Kreisberg, the disgraced former Warner Bros. Television writer and producer, was arrested and charged for forcible touching during a March bar mitzvah celebration in New York.
Vanity Fair’s Maureen Ryan, one of the reporters who was among the first to break the story of Kreisberg’s allegedly inappropriate workplace behavior, was the first to report the story. According to the woman who made a statement to the police about the incident, she was eating and enjoying the party at a high-top table. That’s when Kreisberg approached her and started to put his arms “all over my arms and back.”
“He then slid his hands around my waist, grabbed my waist firmly, and thrust his fully erect penis into my buttocks twice,” the statement reads.

A great swath of musicians, their music, and their fans have frequently been disparaged over the years. I'm talking about "hair metal" bands and their fans.
A new three-part series now on Paramount+ digs into several musicians and their experiences of the era, recounting their rise and when the fiery flame of the brightest period for their brand was snuffed out.
We had the chance to catch up with a couple of those musicians, and today, we're sharing our discussion with Janet Gardner, best known as the lead singer of the all-female group Vixen.
Gardner, now a dental hygenist and still making kickass music with her husband, Justin James, opened up for I Wanna Rock: The '80s Metal Dream director Tyler Measom and for us during our candid discussion.
Please see the full conversation below, which has been edited for clarity.
Hi, Janet. How are you?
I'm good, thanks.

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe was busy changing the way Hollywood studios approach their biggest franchises (and all which that implies), The CW and DC were off making TV history with the Arrowverse. Much like the House of Ideas' multimedia superhero property, the Arrowverse was all over the place in terms of its quality and success. Certain killjoys would tell you its flagship series went on for way too long, while others would blame its limited resources and financing for preventing it from truly doing justice to the epic comic book arcs it adapted.
Overall, though, the Arrowverse was a daring experiment in the best way. That's why we're hitting the pause button and reflecting on its legacy before DC Studios head honchos James Gunn and Peter Safran usher in their shiny-new unified vision for all things DC-related.

Exclusive: 1883‘s Lamonica Garrett and Martin Sensmeier are the latest additions to the cast of the street racing action-thriller Takeover, led by Migos frontman Quavo, from Trioscope and Quality Films. The pair joins an ensemble which also includes Billy Zane and Serayah, as previously announced.
The film, currently in production in Atlanta, will implement Trioscope’s proprietary technology that blends live-action with CG, underscoring the fascination and controversy surrounding the city’s street takeovers — also known as “sideshows.”
Garrett portrays Sheriff ‘Herc’ Hitchens, public enemy #1 in the takeover community. Herc is a sadistic officer, whose life mission is to shut down the illegal racing scene and its major players — especially Guy Miller (Quavo), a recent parolee who’s attempting to rehabilitate his life when circumstances propel him back into Atlanta’s dangerous takeover scene.

Marc Guggenheim has signed with CAA for representation, Variety has learned exclusively.
Guggenheim continues to be represented by attorney Wendy Kirk at Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole Llp as well as by manager Cliff Roberts at Syndicate Entertainment.
Guggenheim is perhaps best known for his work in The CW’s so-called Arrowverse — its collection of shows based on DC Comics characters. He co-created the first of those shows, “Arrow,” along with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. The show ultimately aired for eight seasons and 170 episodes. Legends of Tomorrow aired its season finale last night, with episode 5×14 “Swan Thong.” Unlike its fellow Arrowverse shows, though, Legends was able to close production prior to the pandemic, so this was the conclusion to the story as intended. And it featured a major change to the status quo, as one of the show’s longest-running cast members said goodbye to the team as a series regular.
The cast member in question is Maisie Richardson-Sellers, whose character Charlie was written out in “Swan Thong.” Co-showrunner Phil Klemmer spoke to TV Line about the move following the airing of the episode, revealing that the actress’ exit has been in the planning all season. Stephen Amell has officially wrapped filming Arrow, bringing an end to the Arrowverse’s involvement with the actor with whom it all began.
The man who will now always be linked to the definitive portrayal of Oliver Queen took to social media with a brief but heartfelt declaration to reveal that he had wrapped on the show, saying:
Words can’t even begin to express what Arrow has meant to me. Best 8 years of my life. The cast and crew of the show have become my family. I’m going to miss them. I’m wrapped.
Prior to 2012, Amell was just another jobbing Canadian actor, appearing in guest roles and recurring characters in minor TV shows, with the closest he came to potential stardom being getting down to the final three in auditions to replace Andy Whitfied as Spartacus’ eponymous slave rebel.

With Manu Bennett’s Slade Wilson unlikely to return for Arrow‘s eighth and final season and the character now being played by Esai Morales over on DC Universe’s Titans, The CW somehow managed to have him remain in the Arrowverse in some fashion. Ingeniously enough, the Deathstroke animated series we’ve been hearing about for some time will serve that purpose.
In the tradition of Vixen, Freedom Fighters: The Ray and Constantine: City of Demons, Deathstroke: Knights and Dragons will be the next animated web series to air on The CW Seed online streaming site. No concrete premiere date has been given at the time of this writing, but the first of twelve episodes will air beginning sometime in the first quarter of 2020.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Ten years ago, Slade Wilson—aka the super-assassin called Deathstroke—made a tragic mistake and his wife and son paid a terrible price.

Ten years ago, Slade Wilson — aka the super-assassin called Deathstroke — made a tragic mistake and his wife and son paid a terrible price. Now, a decade later, Wilson’s family is threatened once again by the murderous Jackal and the terrorists of H.

BizarroTV will be a mix of live action, animation, and puppetry bringing weirdness like Ambush Bug and Space Cabbie to DC Universe.
DC Universe announced a number of new projects at New York Comic Con, and the most stunning announcement is probably BizarroTV.
The show, named after the backwards-talking supervillain (?) from the Superman family, is planned as an anthology series that will feature a live action and animation mix with, “a showcase of experimental styles and creative voices and visions.” So...Liquid Television but for DC superheroes. That's a very different approach to take with a superhero show, but not an entirely surprising one for the streaming service that birthed the absurdist masterpiece that was Doom Patrol.
The show will feature less popular heroes like Ambush Bug (imagine Deadpool with the Beyonder’s powers and general temperament), Space Cabbie (exactly what it says on the label), the Creeper,...

WB has an endless stream of movies on the slate, as they aim to get the Dceu back into working shape after the troubled earlier years of the franchise. One thing they seem to have decided to double down on is female-led films, following the success of Wonder Woman and the popularity of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. As such, it’s not too surprising that we’re now hearing of another superheroine who could get her own movie: Vixen.
If you’ll recall, we first reported on this news back in June, but we’ve now had an update on the project from our sources – the same ones who told us Black Mask will be gay in Birds of Prey, which has since been confirmed. According to them, the Vixen movie is still happening and the studio’s top choice to lead it is Aja Naomi King, most known...

If you haven’t been watching Black Lightning for the past two seasons, well, then you’ve really been missing out. In my view, it’s consistently been among the better DC TV shows out there, especially when it comes to those airing on The CW.
For those who have been following along, you’ll know that the series seemingly exists in its own universe. Though various DC characters such as Supergirl and Vixen have been name-dropped, no proper crossover has come to be – nor has Jefferson Pierce participated in any of the big mashups going down each fall.
According to FandomWire though, that’ll change later this year, as they’re reporting that Black Lightning will indeed show up at some point during the highly anticipated “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” Based on what they’ve heard, Freeland’s protector won’t play a pivotal role but will be used...

The CW’s content cousin, CW Seed, is getting a live linear streaming channel, on which original content will exist.
The CW’s content delivery strategy is about to get an upgrade in the streaming department, with the announcement of CW Seed Live.
In a content partnership with PeopleTV, The CW will unveil CW Seed Live, eyeing a launch for late fall, reports Deadline. It will manifest as an expanded, 24/7 live-streaming linear take on CW Seed, the 2014-launched à la carte streaming offshoot of the network, compatible on most devices, which houses a handful of original content mostly connected to the DC Arrowverse shows, along with random – often other-network – catalogue content.
CW Seed Live will be the home to some yet-to-be-announced original content, which, as the report teases, will range from documentary series to offerings in the supernatural genre. Additionally, like its platform cousin, Seed Live will not require a subscription,...

Riverdale‘s third season finale left fans with the haunting image of a blood-soaked Archie, Betty and Veronica burning Jughead’s hat in the woods and agreeing to go their separate ways — but is the situation really as dire as it seems? Not so, according to the stars of the CW drama, who dropped a comforting little truth bomb when they visited TVLine’s San Diego Comic-Con suite this weekend.

Thankfully, we’re at a time now when the superhero movie landscape is becoming more diversified. Marvel’s Kevin Feige has committed to making the McU more inclusive in the future, and it seems that Warner Bros.’ Dceu is aiming for the same. Birds of Prey, for example, is an all-female team-up movie that’ll introduce Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s Black Canary into the franchise among others. And this, we’re hearing, is likely just the beginning.
We Got This Covered has been informed that WB is dedicated to getting more black superheroes in the Dceu. Specifically, they’re trying to bring two characters into the franchise in particular. These are Rocket and Static, two popular teen heroes probably best known to fans for their animated TV appearances. Rocket is part of the Young Justice gang while Static had his own show, Static Shock, from 2000-2004.

After months of speculation, anticipation, and plenty of rumors, it seems that Robert Pattinson has been confirmed to play the starring role in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Needless to say, the official announcement has been met with middling reception – longtime DC devotees took to Twitter to share their reactions, which seem to be an equal mix of disappointment, skepticism, and tentative faith.
Since that particular casting decision is set in stone though, the internet has now begun to do what it does best and wildly speculate about who will play the supporting characters. A few Hollywood A-listers have already expressed interest in joining the project – with Marvel’s Sebastian Stan looking to play The Riddler – and a new suggestion from a comic book veteran has begun to make some waves.

There’s an ongoing call for superhero movies to feature greater diversity than they have so far. In 2019 alone, Marvel’s responded to this by delivering their first female-led film in Captain Marvel and featuring the McU’s first ever openly Lgbt character in Avengers: Endgame (though there was some controversy over it). Now, they’re set to follow all that up with a gay lead in The Eternals as well.

Now, today we have an official piece of art from the series showing us the design for Slade Wilson a.k.a Deathstroke and as you can see, he is fighting off Hive agents in a tropical forest.
The image came with the following caption: “No mercy…Deathstroke is coming soon to CW Seed.”
There are a lot of stories to pull from for Deathstroke to bring to life in this animated series. We just don’t know what stories they will end up telling or who will be voicing the character.

For those of you who are fans of Deathstroke, you might be happy to learn that DC is developing a new animated series based on the character for the CW Digital platform CW Seed.
This Deathstroke series is said to be in the same vein as Vixen and The Ray, which are the other animated shows that have been developed for The CW Seed. Those shows used actors that also played the live-action versions of the characters in the CW series.
Deathstroke has played a part in The CW’s Arrow, Justice League, Teen Titans Go! to the Movies, and was most recently introduced in the DC Universe series Titans. There’s no information on who will be voicing the characters in the series.
Deathstroke is a fascinating DC comics character and I think it’s cool that his story will be explored in this new animated series. What are your thoughts on this news?...

DC’s Deathstroke is getting a new animated series on CW Seed.
Deathstroke, DC Comics’ ruthless, cycloptic, sword-swinging mercenary-turned grizzled anti-hero, is currently in the midst of a long-overdue pop culture surge, and it’s not stopping anytime soon, with the The CW’s latest adaptation plans, an animated series!
The announcement arrived during the CW's upfront presentation in May, where, amongst a treasure trove of CW/DC news, network president Mark Pedowitz revealed the existence of the CW Seed-bound Deathstroke animated series. A streaming platform, CW Seed launched back in 2014, designed as a complementary platform to its Warner-based network cousin. Besides some non-dc original content, the Deathstroke series will join the streamer’s array of Arrowverse-connected animated series such a Vixen, Freedom Fighters: The Ray and Constantine: City of Demons.

Seeing as how it’s a time traveling show, you could say that no character is off limits for Legends of Tomorrow. Obviously, this extends to the dead, so we’ll just refer you to a guy named Captain Cold if you’re in need of a reminder.
Of course, one would assume that the Amaya Jiwe iteration of Vixen would still be on the table, but bringing her back at this point would contradict her recently concluded character arc. If you’ll recall, she returned to her native period in order to live out her life and assure that her successor and granddaughter, Mari McCabe, comes into existence.

Even though Black Lightning has thus far proven to be one of the more serious and dramatic DC TV shows currently airing, it’s been known to get somewhat meta at times. Don’t forget, an Outsiders comic book was proudly displayed during the first season, not to mention both Supergirl and Vixen being name-dropped at various points. Suffice it to say, that’s only fueled more speculation as to from which Earth these heroes originate.
Speaking of the Outsiders, it appears as though the cult favorite team will indeed be forming at some point during season 2. In addition to this series playing host to likes of Black Lightning, Thunder and Grace Choi, another piece of the puzzle will soon fall into place.
You see, the folks over at That Hashtag Show have learned of how the producers are currently seeking a Caucasian actress in her early 20’s for the recurring role of Looker.

Don’t forget, these folks often have to work long hours and possibly endure some not so comfortable moments during the pre-production process.
Speaking of which, Legends of Tomorrow‘s Maisie Richardson-Sellers has a story of her own to tell. Better known to DC fans as Amaya Jiwe Aka Vixen, the actress recently recalled one of her more memorable experiences on the show while sitting down with Square Mile:
“When I had to play an 80-year-old version of my character in Legends of Tomorrow, I was sent to a full head cast, which is as horrible as it sounds. I was covered in plaster from my shoulders up with just two breathing holes for two hours.

The June 21 episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” saw the 14 queens of season 10 come together once more to discuss the highs and lows of the competition, as well as to throw plenty of shade at one another before the grand finale on June 28. On “Reunited,” which was moderated by Emmy-winning series host RuPaul Charles, the girls were asked about some of the season’s most iconic moments and the group delves into some of their more personal journeys we saw play out on the show.
On the June 14 episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 10, Ru had decided that as all four remaining queens – Aquaria, Asia O’Hara, Eureka and Kameron Michaels — deserved a place in the final, there would not be an elimination. And, to that end, there also was no winner.

The great thing about the Arrowverse is that with it being so expansive, it hasn’t limited itself to live action television and, in the past few years, it’s also spilled over into the comic book realm as well as animation. When it comes to the latter, much success was found with Vixen, which was first presented as a web series that spanned two seasons before being cut together as one seamless direct-to-video movie.
Having gotten a taste for exploring other characters and possibilities that the TV shows may not have the time or budget for, the producers have since decided to branch out with their latest endeavor, that being Freedom Fighters: The Ray.
Serving as a prelude of sorts to last fall’s epic crossover that was “Crisis on Earth-x,” the home video release presents the animated web series as a feature-length film, much like the aforementioned Vixen.

Being the progenitor of The CW’s DC TV universe, Arrow has played host to the first appearances for a variety of heroes. Remember, this is where the likes of the Atom, Vixen and even Barry Allen got their starts. That said, it’s no wonder why we call it “the Arrowverse.”
And despite each fall crossover requiring all available hands on deck, there are still some notable omissions, most likely due to budgetary constraints and which characters WB and DC will allow the producers access to.
To his credit, Arrow’s lead actor, Stephen Amell, will be able to cross another dream team-up off his bucket list next season when Batwoman joins the party that’ll be the next epic mashup. Still, the Emerald Archer has yet to be in the same room as a few other heavy hitters.

The eighth episode of season 10 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” airs May 10 on VH1. In the main challenge of “The Unauthorized Rusical,” the remaining seven queens must impersonate Cher. Joining RuPaul Charles, Carson Kressley and Michelle Visage on the judges panel in episode eight will be actors Billy Eichner and Andrew Rannells. We expect them to choose Miz Cracker as the winner of this main challenge.
Our exclusive Gold Derby predictions are forecasting that this sassy 33-year-old New Yorker will also go on to take the title at the end of this season of “Drag Race.” Conversely, we are predicting that The Vixen — a 26-year-old who hails from Chicago, Illinois– will be eliminated at the end of episode eight.
