EastEnders' Danny Dyer wants to see Mick Carter throw bad boy Grant Mitchell across the bar when he returns to Walford. The 38-year-old actor, who plays the pub landlord in the soap, is hoping his alter-ego develops a friendship with the volatile thug (Ross Kemp) when he trots back onto Albert Square this year, but thinks they will lock horns and a brawl will break out instead. Speaking backstage at the National Television Awards last night (20.01.16), he said: ''I'm really excited about Grant's return. Hopefully I'll get to have a tear up with him. If he comes in the pub and...

EastEnders' Richard Blackwood used to have a crush on 'Emmerdale's Gemma Atkinson. The 43-year-old actor, who portrays Vincent Hubbard in the BBC One soap, feels ''privileged'' to be up against the blonde beauty - known for playing Carly Hope in the ITV show - for the Best Newcomer at next week's National Television Awards (NTAs) as he used to have a soft spot for her. Asked if he's been keeping an eye on his competitors since the shortlist was announced, he said: ''The irony for me is that I used to fancy Gemma! I feel privileged to be in the same...

Sheridan Smith is so good that ITV has decided to dedicate an entire season to her talents.
The best of her work will air next month on ITV Encore, so if you missed any of her acclaimed dramas, now is the time to do something about it.

Paul Hollywood has spoken of his love for Great British Bake Off co-star Mary Berry.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, the celebrity chef said Berry acts like his mum and even used to iron his shirts while they were filming the first series of the show.
However, Hollywood admitted that he is jealous of Berry's fast metabolism, which allows her to stay slim no matter how many cakes and traybakes she tastes during the competition.
"She can eat as much as she wants and doesn't put weight on," he said.
"She acts like my mother and I do treat her like my mum. She's met my mum and they get on really well. I do genuinely love Mary."
Hollywood also does the odd son-like favour for Berry in return, such as driving her places.
"I drive her everywhere," he added. "Normally, when we leave the tent, she has a cold Chardonnay.

A fur frenzy, a 90's throwback and a sheer shocker -- the stars are rocking all the wrong trends this week! Kris Jenner raised some eyebrows when she hit the red carpet at the National Television Awards in London on Wednesday, sporting a tight white Emilio Pucci gown with a giant fur coat by Ralph Rucci. We have to admit that the famous momager looks great for her age (she's 59!), but that jacket makes her look like Cruella de Vil. At least it's better than that Amish get-up, right Kim?! Christina Milian missed the mark when she made an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" on Sunday, rocking a nude suede midi dress with cutouts that exposed her tummy and cleavage. The reality star's body looks amazing in the figure-hugging frock, but the entire ensemble screams bad 90's fashion. This throwback should have stayed in the back of her closet.

Michael Parr planned to ''seduce'' Kris Jenner at the National Television Awards. The 'Emmerdale' star - who was up for the best Newcomer prize at the annual awards ceremony last night (21.01.14) - confessed he wasn't sure who the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star was but joked she wouldn't be able to resist his charms if she met him. Quizzed on whether there were any female celebrities at the event he had his eye on, he told Bang Showbiz: ''I've heard Kris Jenner is here. I heard that she was here and a lot of my female friends were like, 'You've...

Kris Jenner manages reality television's first family and heads up multiple lifestyle brands – but she's not quite as savvy at reading autocue.
The star was presenting the Multichannel prize at the National Television Awards tonight (January 21) – and, quite frankly, it was a real struggle.
Jenner initially sent social media into a frenzy by mistakenly referring to Geordie Shore as "Georgie Shore" while reading the Multichannel Award nominees.
The trouble went on for Jenner as she stopped reading when the video package detailing the nominees continued, leading the camera to switch back to her after several seconds of silence.
Jenner stared into the camera for a few seconds, before finally running off the final two nominees The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.
