The Ultimate Weapon
claudio_carvalho18 February 2022
Ben is using the Espheni device expecting to find the Espheni Queen to win the war. Meanwhile Tom is contacted by the Dornia Rebecca that gives an ultimate weapon to kill the Espheni Queen. The 2nd Mass is leading the base and the Mason Militias organizing a joint attack to Washington. Matt and Maggie are patrolling the woods around the base and they stumble upon Alexia, who is wounded. Matt decides to bring her to the base despite Maggie's opposite opinion that she is a danger to the humans. Pope infiltrates the base with his gang and shoots people from the 2nd Mass. When Anne is going to be killed, Anthony protects her. Tom and Weaver shoot barrels of fuel near Pope and his gang and blow-up the building were they are shielded that collapses. Soon they learn the truth about Alexia.

"Reunion" is the penultimate episode of "Falling Skies" again with a predictable storyline. The Dornia weapon if the only surprise of the plot. Anne handling with a lethal alien fluid is ridiculous. Matt's attitude is another big mistake of this Mason family. My vote is six.

Cringeworthy

Warning: Spoilers
Can this show please get back in shape? This whole Pope gone bad arc just feels so wrong, poorly executed and utterly unnecessary. They introduce a female companion for Pope, have them bond only to kill her off so Pope can go bonkers later and Mason has to deal with him. This just feels like a distraction or a filler so we get to see no action or actual plot advancement. My guess is show is not being funded that well lately so action scenes or aliens are in short supply cause those are expensive. That I can understand. What I cannot tolerate is when a cheaper alternative is also slapped together poorly. This scenario with Pope in this episode would never happen in real world and should not happen in fiction that is trying to sell itself as intelligent. Basically I wanted to crawl under a rock somewhere when I saw Pope and a few of his goons walk into a defended(?) base and not get shot on the spot I knew something was wrong. Trained military personnel leaving cover to miss and get shot... Are these writers serious? All this insult to viewers intelligence just so Mason and Pope can have some lame ass anti-climactic little showdown? No thanks. This is bad television signature.
