This is better than the shorts I've been watching for a while. Of course, the idiot boyfriend is going to open up that box. It lies in the reality that most of these kinds of things are benign and we trust there won't be anything there. But.... We are led on a gory path that has dismemberment and blood galore. But it has a better story than many of these underdeveloped horror films.

Box Girl is a great short film. Certainly one of the most original things I've seen in years. The character design is fantastic. Even the opening animation is well done and fun to watch. The only problem...it's too short! This totally needs to be feature length. Really, how did the kids end up with the box, what happens after the end credits? Were there other box girls in history/ We need to know. So much new horror is just boring, derivative or uninspired. Box girl is everything we have been hungry for. A fantastic idea brilliantly executed! Go see it on Vimeo now! Leaves me wanting and needing more box girl. At least get me an action figure..Rocky Curby get busy we want more from Boxgirl.
