Stephen Cognetti has written and directed every entry in the Hell House LLC franchise, which began in 2015 and currently consists of Hell House LLC, Hell House LLC II: The Abaddon Hotel, Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire, and the recently released Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor. While doing the press rounds for The Carmichael Manor, Cognetti talked to Bloody Disgusting about his hopes for future installments, saying he has ideas that would require higher budgets and that he would like to move away from the found footage style all of the films have been shot in so far.
Cognetti said, “I make references to this event in a few of the movies, including this one, but also the third one as well is what happened at the Rockland County Fair, back in the day. That’s something I always talk about, this event, and never really making it.

Originally released in theaters back in 2017, Wish Upon stars The Conjuring‘s Joey King who plays a 16-year-old misfit who finds a magic box that promises a chance at the life she’s always wanted — only to discover that each wish demands a deadly payment.

So when her dad (Ryan Phillippe) gifts her an old music box with an inscription that promises to grant the owner’s wishes, she thinks there is nothing to lose. Clare makes her first wish and, to her surprise, it comes true. Before long, she finally has it all: money, popularity and her dream boy. Everything seems perfect – until...

It is Halloween season, and there is no better time to revel in the festivities than by catching a truly haunting movie. “The Possession” is the fourth entry in the dabbe series of movies which introduced the ‘Djinn’ archetype into Turkish cinema. Apart from that, it also unveiled many fresh takes on the genre that makes it truly unique and thrilling to watch. There is its highly realistic camerawork that puts you right into the action as if you were witnessing an exorcism in a claustrophobic room. And then there it is its audacity to poke at Islamic dark arts and demonic possessions, a macabre marriage that is not only taboo but also a gutsy headfirst trudge into an unspoken and unheard chapter of the horror playbook.
