At the end of Ant-Man, we got a tease of Evangeline Lilly's alter-ego, Wasp, but not until now have we seen what she'll look like in costume. Frankly, we think she looks pretty great.
Via The Hollywood Reporter.
Evangeline Lilly on Monday suited up to celebrate late comic book artist Jack Kirby's 100th birthday.
Lilly shared the first photo of herself wearing her Wasp costume for 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp, in which she stars opposite Paul Rudd, who plays Ant-Man.
Kirby co-created Janet van Dyne (the original Wasp) along with Stan Lee back in 1963. Lilly plays Hope, the daughter of Janet van Dyne and Hank Pym (the original Ant-Man), and though her character was actually created by writer Tom DeFalco and artist Ron Frenz in 1999, like most things in the Marvel Cinematic Universe,...

Next Monday marks the 100th anniversary of Jack Kirby’s birth. For one horrible moment, let us consider the following question: what if that birth never happened?
No Captain America. No Fourth World. Probably no romance comics. No Challengers of the Unknown. No Kamandi. No “Marvel Age of Comics.”
Think about that last one for a moment. The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, The Hulk, Nick Fury, Thor, Silver Surfer, Black Panther… most likely, they would not have existed; certainly not as the astonishing successes they were.
I will avoid suggesting the American comic book medium would have disappeared decades ago if not for Jack Kirby, although a case could be made for that argument. If Marvel Comics didn’t happen the way it happened, it’s possible that direct sales to comic book stores would not have happened, and that little phenomenon certainly has kept this racket alive.
Nobody put more power,...

It’s been a busy, busy day for fans of the DC Extended Universe, with the internet being sent into a frenzy thanks to the latest slew of 4chan leaks. As is always the case, it’s best to take them all with a handful of salt, but if nothing else, these rumors have fuelled plenty of speculation and discussion, which is always fun to see and partake in.
Whether it’s the introduction of Supergirl in Man of Steel 2 or the teasing of Red Hood in The Batman, there’s been a lot to dig into today, and though some of it reads like nothing more than fan fiction – and probably is just that – we’ll leave it up to you to decide which of these leaks are accurate and which are not.
The latest one concerns New Gods, a film that has popped up in the past but...

When Wonder Woman steps off the boat and takes in the grimy sights of a turn-of-the-century London for the first time in her eponymous film, there’s an interesting bit of background action that might otherwise go unnoticed. Amidst the traffic, she approaches an escape artist who is shackled on first view, then in the second it takes her to walk past him, obscuring him from view, he’s remarkably and noticeably unshackled. This might mean nothing, but it might also be one of the film’s most interesting DC-universe Easter eggs. DC Comics has a famous escape artist superhero named Mister Miracle, who has a direct tie to the DC universe’s “Fourth World” characters, like Darkseid, Steppenwolf and the parademons that they’re going to...

"Judge Dredd: Mega-City One is set in a future where the East Coast of the Us has become a crowded and crime-ridden megalopolis. To Marvel Entertainment,
Last week I read X-Men Gold #1 and, controversy aside which I won’t be getting into as you have gone above and beyond to address the issue properly and professionally, it really invoked a lot of strong feelings in me. Because of that, I’d like to talk about the X-Men and what they mean to me.
I first discovered X-Men on television when I was in elementary school. I remember watching the first episode and immediately being sucked in. To this day, the Sentinels are still menacing to me and I’ll always have a fondness for Jubilee, Rogue and Storm. I remember the time between Saturday morning after the episode finished to the next Saturday felt like an eternity. I was a shy kid who knew he was queer, but I didn’t understand it. I didn’t have a lot of friends, didn’t...

There's so much DC superhero stuff hidden in the new Justice League movie trailer that we broke it all down for you.
Well, it sure took them long enough, didn't it? We've been waiting since last July for an 'official' trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League movie. At San Diego Comic Con 2016, Warner Bros. unveiled a reel of footage, but it wasn't what they were officially calling a trailer. But this one is something different, and it reveals lots more about what's actually happening in the movie than that initial footage.
So the first thing you should do before I start overanalyzing every piece of this thing, is you should watch the trailer yourself if you haven't seen it yet.
Here it is...
The biggest thing to note here is that they're still aggressively pushing a very different tone (if not look) from Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

The Legion Of Doom is the best episode of Legends of Tomorrow this season, and possibly its best ever.
This Legends of Tomorrow review contains spoilers.
2.10 The Legion Of Doom
Usually it takes me until the last third of an episode to start writing it up, but The Legion Of Doom started so well that I couldn’t hold back. From the opening to the first commercial, I must have written at least eight lines in all caps:
Darhk Does The Intro! That’S New! And The Legion Is Bickering And Infighting! This Is Perfect! Or Oh Shit, That’S How They’Re Gonna Deal With Lily!
This episode was pure fanservice from the very beginning, and I loved every second of it.
Much like how the best parts of last season were Len and Mick Taste The Scenery, this episode’s A story follows Damien Darhk...

The first group shot of Batman,Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg in Zack Snyder's Justice League should be enough to satisfy most fans of the Dceu as the countdown towards the November release of the film marches on. But the trully diehard, satisfaction won't be achieved until Superman (and Green Lantern) are assembled with the other heroes as well. New quotes from director Zack Snyder would seemingly indicate that such a scene will occur...or will it? In the latest print edition of Empire, Snyder states, “Superman does play a big part in this movie. His presence, and lack of presence, are big story points…” That's certainly a cryptic tease. Will the Justice League lack the firepower to ward of Steppenwolf and the forces of Apokolips without the Man of Steel? Or will we find a black suit Kal-el, brainwashed and in league with the "Fourth World" invaders?...

Another Bleeding Love Story, the quirky serial killer love story that Jesus approves of, started production in Baltimore, MD, in early January. A joint production between Austin Sheeley and MOnsterworks66’s Maria Olsen, this horrifically hilarious tale follows two young serial killers, Lily and Lucas, as they negotiate the arduous tasks of living and killing in modern society.
Lucas, played by Sheeley, is a Mommy’s Boy with Mommy Issues thanks to, and this isn’t a wild guess, his mommy, Catherine (Olsen Starry Eyes, Another, Vile, The Haunting of Whaley House). Now he’s decided to take his issues out on every middle aged woman he can get his hands – and his knife – on, but everything’s ok as Jesus has literally given him the “thumbs up” for the killings.
While divinely inspired to rid the world of these women, Lucas encounters Lily, a sociopathic teacher, whose main goal...
