Move over, Boar on the Floor, there's a new game of humiliation in town — and this time, it's fatal.
Underneath the drugs and violence of it all, there are a few obvious parallels between Succession and The Gentlemen, a spin-off of Guy Ritchie's 2019 film of the same name. While Succession concludes with the death of media mogul Logan Roy (Brian Cox), The Gentlemen begins there: When the Duke of Halstead dies, he defies centuries of tradition by bequeathing his title and extravagant estate to his second son, respected military man Eddie Horniman (Theo James), over entitled "eldest boy" Freddy (Daniel Ings), who's ruled by his cocaine addiction and hedonistic impulses.

This article contains spoilers for season 4, episode 6 of "Succession."
There are quite a few similarities between the Fox and Netflix comedy "Arrested Development" and the HBO tragicomedy "Succession," from the composition of the filthy rich and totally incompetent families at the center of each series to the characters' total inability to be kind to anyone. But there's one major link between them that matters most: the camera work. The plot of "Succession" contains pretty serious stuff, involving drug abuse, accidental manslaughter, accusations of sexual assault on a mass scale, child abuse, and more, but the show still manages to be brutally funny. A big part of that comedy comes from just how awkward and emotionally damaged everyone is, and the camera helps bring that discomfort into focus. Moments that could easily be played as dramatic are instead turned on their ear through the use of the handheld, frequently zooming camera...

The Possessed is an intense horror that follows Jacob Chandler (John Jarratt) who is just an ordinary man with an extraordinary gift. Jacob is an accidental exorcist and together with his nephew Liam (Lincoln Lewis), they have forged a career clearing demons from the bodies of their clients. Of late, something has changed and demonic possessions are on the rise, and in order to keep those he loves safe from the wrath of unspeakable evil, Jacob must fight for them to survive.

It’s a relatively quiet week for home entertainment releases, but Tuesday is playing host to one of my favorite films of the year, Ready or Not, which makes December 3rd feel like an early Christmas to this writer. Scream Factory is showing some love to John Carpenter’s Big Trouble in Little China with multiple editions (including the standard Collector’s Edition as well as the absolutely gorgeous limited edition Steelbook), and Konga, one of my favorite cult films (thank you Terror in the Aisles!) is headed to Blu on Tuesday, courtesy of Kino Lorber.
Other Blu-ray and DVD releases for December 3rd include Boar, Christmas Presence, Game of Thrones: The Complete Eighth Season, Game of Thrones: The Complete Series, and 1 Must Fall.

Are you really named Christopher after horror icon Christopher Lee?
Sure am, my mum loved him as an actor and I guess I scored his name.
Your past horrors – Daddy’S Little Girl, Come And Get Me, Charlie’S Farm – were all R rated and came with some controversy. Is that why Boar is just gory creature feature fun?
When I first wrote Boar I wanted it to be R Rated as well, really violent kills and gore like my past films, people seemed to really love the kills in Charlie’s Farm and the Torture in Daddy’s Little Girl. I wanted the fans to get that same feeling and enjoyment from the bloodshed in Boar. I wrote Boar to be funny when it had to be funny and serious when it had to be serious. I wanted to give the fans a journey they could go on for 96 minutes,...

Director Chris Sun has released a couple of new trailers for his monstrous feature Boar. The first trailer is for international audiences; it can be found here: A Boar Int. Trailer. A new teaser trailer has also been released. It is a bit more concise and quite a bit more exciting. This second look can be found below. As well, Boar stars: John Jarratt (Wolf Creek), Bill Moseley (Charlie's Farm), Simone Buchanan, Nathan Jones and many others. A new poster had been released, too. All of the latest details, on Boar, are hosted here. In Sun's newest feature, a huge beast is goring locals and tourists alike. Insane with bloodlust, this man-killer is defending its territory, from anyone crazy enough to come close. Now, it is a fight for survival in Australia's outback. Australia’s premier genre film festival, Monster Fest returns for its seventh year this November 23rd to 26th at Melbourne’s Lido Cinemas with a mix of World, Australian & Victorian Premieres! The 2017 chapter of Monster Fest, takes on a very Australian flavour – the first wave announcement includes not one, but Six(!) brand new Australian feature films, most of which will be enjoying their World Premieres at the festival.
Opening the festival is one of 2018’s most anticipated new horror flicks, Christopher Sun’s creature-feature, Boar. What the we do not have in the world of fantastic cinema is enough killer pig movies. It has been a few years since we had a rash of them between '08 and '10. It has been even longer since the nation of Australia has had a killer pig creature feature. I believe you would have to go back to 1984s Razorback for that. That is about to change as Chris Sun's fourth film Boar has been picked up by Universal Australia for local distribution. Considering the international talent attached to the production one cannot help but wonder if there are any festival circuit plans for the creature feature from Down Under. Horror icon Bill Mosely is in it. Mad Max Fury Road's Nathan...

Director Chris Sun (Charlie's Farm) has released the first full length trailer for Boar. This creature feature was shot in the Australian outback. And, the film's central villain is an 8', tusked killing machine. The films stars Nathan Jones (Troy), John Jarratt and Christie-Lee Britten. The first trailer shows dark nights and bloody victims. The full video is below. The film begins and ends with a wild boar. It has grown to a monstrous size. It also wants to protect its territory, from the locals. Now, it is going on a terrifying rampage, while impaling anyone and anything that gets in its way. The trailer begins with old stories of a giant boar. Then, real life signs of it begin to turn up, at a camp site. The local townsfolk look completely unprepared for what is in store for them. Indie horror film fans are encouraged to take a peek past the break.
