Lights Out grossed $27 million domestically and $35 million worldwide after opening last Friday, and Deadline reports that those numbers have warranted a sequel. Director David F. Sandberg confirms that he will return for the sequel of his feature directorial debut, which is actually based on the short film that Sandberg did with his wife while in Sweden.
