In each season of "The Good Wife", there are episodes I label as "the big episodes", meaning the episodes that hold certain significance in moving the season storyline plot from point A to B, point B to C, and so on. "The Line" emerged at the beginning of the season as a masterpiece, but "Oppo Research" is the first "big" episode of the season, one that centered on Alicia and her candidacy in the state's attorney's race and its some of the finest television you will watch this fall. Written quite perfectly by show's creators, "Oppo Research" tells the events transpired in this episode through an astute structure and displays the best written dialogue in "Good Wife" history. (You'll find dozens of thick, intelligently quotes you will feel compelled to write down.) The actors boom with the brilliant script, Margulies in particular demonstrates her untapped comedy skills with biting sarcasm. "The Good Wife" is on fire, showing no signs of slowing down in the near future. "Oppo Research" is a terrific episode which expertly begins the crux of season 6 and further develops the show's themes of moral ambiguity. It's not about what things are, it's about what things look like.
