The episode begins in the Cimorelli's house in complete disaster mode. As the girls sit on the couch and explain to a pair of police officers exactly what happened, we flash back to Christina convincing her parents to let her be in charge of her sisters while they go off for the summer. As soon as the parents are gone, the girls throw a backyard BBQ/party behind Christina's back. The police officers explain that the neighbor has agreed not to press charges if the girls will pay for his car. Relieved, the girls excitedly agree until they realize that they only have six dollars left to last them all summer. What are they going to do?

The girls are in a panic trying to figure out how they are going to make enough money to support themselves for the whole summer. Lauren quietly wonders why they can't just make YouTube videos to earn money. The sisters latch on to Lauren's brilliant idea and we see the girls struggling to shoot their first YouTube performance. Will this solve their money problems?

When Christina, Katherine, Lisa and Lauren get sick, it is up to Amy and Dani to do everything around the house. Oh, and there's that pesky video they have to make too. While at the market, Amy and Dani spot Jay Glazer. The girls get an idea, but before they can execute their plan, Jay is gone. In a comic chase, they tackle him in the parking lot. Back home, Amy and Dani proudly announce that they have this week's money problem solved! The girls, via satellite, skillfully sing the national anthem, underscored with a cough, sneeze and sniffle back beat.

The girls find out that big-shot Broadway director Barry Ortega is having auditions for a new live stage production of Savannah Louisiana. The girls show up to audition and try and convince the director that they have what it takes for a career in showbiz. They sing and dance and in the end don't get the part. But, Barry has another job for them....waving spinning parking signs outside the show. Not quite what the girls had in mind...

As the girls video chat with their parents, Amy struggles to stay silent but notices she's not the only one having a problem, her sisters are struggling with their cover story as well. Ultimately, they dance their way through the conversation without admitting their lie, end the video chat and breathe a sigh of relief. On the other side of the video chat, their parents decide they better send Grandma Judy over to check things out.
