This was the debut show. The first few episodes were taped in nightclubs before the show moved into regular arenas.
Only appearance of the Headbangers (Mosh (Chaz Warrington) and Thrasher (Glenn Ruth)) as the Flying Nuns (Mother Smucker [Mosh] and Sister Angelica [Thrasher]). They defeated the Godwinns (Henry O. Godwinn (Mark Canterbury) and Phineas I. Godwinn (Dennis Knight)), with manager Hillbilly Jim (Jim Morris), when the Nuns' manager Brother Love (Bruce Prichard) hit Phineas with his book of love. The crowd shouted "Holy shit!" and "Go to hell!" at the Nuns. After the match, Brother Love renamed them the Sisters of Love. This was Brother Love's first TV appearance since Million Dollar Champion (1996) (January 8, 1996), and his last appearance anywhere until the Gimmick Battle Royal at WrestleMania X-Seven (2001).
During the Goldust (Dustin Rhodes) (w/Marlena (Terri Runnels)) vs. the Sultan (Solofa Fatu Jr.) (w/Mr. Bob Backlund) match, the Sultan had Goldust in the Camel Clutch. Marlena got up on the apron and, with her back to the camera, lowered the top of her dress (though she was wearing a paste-on bra, which was pixelated out), causing Backlund to freak out and attempt to cover the Sultan's eyes. Goldust ultimately won by countout, and Marlena was jokingly announced as the "winner." Sunny (Tammy Sytch), one of the commentators, objected to Marlena's actions, claiming that she, Sunny, was the sexiest woman in the WWF. Earlier in the episode, there had been a backstage segment where Backlund had objected to Marlena's cleavage.
Along with being one of the commentators, James E. Cornette managed Mini Vader for his match with Masacrita Sagrada Jr., as Cornette was the manager for Vader (Leon White) at the time. After the match, Cornette berated Mini Vader for the loss and both minis responded by ripping off Cornette's pants.
Ahmed Johnson (Tony Norris) defeated Crush (Brian Adams) by disqualification after Crush's Nation of Domination stablemate D-Lo Brown (not named as such yet) (A.C. Connor) interfered when Ahmed had Crush set up for the Pearl River Plunge. The Nation then held Ahmed so Crush could hit him with a chair. Goldust, the Godwinns and Hillbilly Jim made the save for Ahmed. Ahmed then chased the Nation members out to 56th Street and hit the Pearl River Plunge on D-Lo on the hood of a car.
