One of this week’s biggest news stories was the reveal of several first look images from The Crow, Lionsgate’s fresh new reboot of the 1990s classic starring Bill Skarsgård (It) as Eric Draven/The Crow. Those very first images put the spotlight on Skarsgård’s Draven and FKA Twigs’ Shelly Webster, promising a very different version of the material.
What does original The Crow director Alex Proyas (Dark City) think of the new movie?
Alex Proyas has made it pretty clear over the years that he’s never been in favor of the original movie being remade – he wrote a heartfelt post on Facebook back in 2017 explaining why he feels a remake is disrespectful to the late Brandon Lee’s memory and legacy – and it seems he hasn’t softened much on that general stance in more recent years.

It’s a bold, new post-Loki world for Disney+. To deal with it, Disney+ is going right back to the Marvel well for its list of August 2021 new releases.
Marvel’s What If…? premieres August 11 on Disney+. This is an animated series that will feature speculative stories within the MCU like “What if Peggy Carter became Captain America?”, “What if the Ravagers took T’Challa to space?”, and “What if…zombies?!?!?!” While What…If? always seemed like a fun thought exercise, the series has really taken on a vital multiversal context in light of Loki‘s conclusion.
In non-Marvel news, Disney+ will be filling out its library offerings this month. Mrs. Doubtfire arrives on August 6 and will be followed by Eragon on August 20. After its brief premier access release, Cruella will make itself a permanent, free home on Disney on August 27.
There aren’t many other original Disney+ series to speak of in August.

For those of you who have signed up or plan on signing up for Disney+, we now have a full list of TV shows and films that will be available to watch on the day the service launches. While there’s not as much here as the services like Netflix or Hulu, there’s still a lot here that I’m excited about watching!
This is the list of shows and films that were included in the trial run for the streaming service that’s currently available in The Netherlands. So, you’ll notice that that upcoming titles such as The Mandalorian, Lady and the Tramp, Noelle and The World According to Jeff Goldblum aren’t on this list. But, they will be available when the service launches on November 12th.

Just before This Is Us‘ Season 2 premiere, we guessed that perhaps the show’s writing staff would somehow work Alexandra Breckenridge’s real-life pregnancy into Sophie and Kevin’s storyline this year.
Turns out, the Pearson family is gaining another bundle of joy this season. But, as Tuesday’s episode made clear, the baby isn’t Kev and Sophie’s: It’s Kate and Toby’s.
In the final moments of the hour, titled “Still There,” Kate gets an ultrasound. That’s when we learn that the...

As a protective style, it also works for beach days or in between heat-required styles. Plus, it's super easy to do. All you need is a hair tie and a couple of bobby pins! Ready to get started? It’s almost July and that means Netflix is about to give their content a refresh. Some of the notable titles leaving include: Super Troopers, Descent, and The Muppets take Manhattan. So if you haven’t seen some of these titles, plan your nights accordingly. We of course can look forward more than a few new titles including the premiere of Bojack Horseman’s second season (voiced by Will Arnett) and one of my favorite movies Alive, pictured above.

If you want to see the new horror film, "Creep," about a videographer who answers an ad on Craigslist and soon finds the assignment is not what it seems, it's available only on Netflix. Writer-director Mark Duplass stars in the film, which is available to stream on July 14.
Also new on Netflix in July: The latest Chris Tucker comedy special, the critically panned Jennifer Lawrence period film "Serena," Spike Lee's "Da Sweet Blood of Jesus," and the thriller "The Guest" (starring "Downton Abbey's" Dan Stevens).

On the horizon for Disney Channel star Laura Marano is one Bad Hair Day and an eventual goodbye, as Austin & Ally continues its fourth and final season this Sunday at 8/7c.
TVLine met up with the 19-year-old actress/singer to tease Bad Hair (which is available now via Disney On Demand and Watch Disney, and premieres Friday the 13th on Disney Channel), survey some big changes for Austin & Ally and make note of her most un-Disneylike behavior. (Worry not, kids – it’s quite family friendly.)

“Girl Meets World” stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter have both been cast in separate Disney Channel original movies, the network revealed on Friday.
Carpenter, 15, will star alongside Sofia Carson (Disney’s “Descendants”) in “Further Adventures in Babysitting,” which is inspired by Elisabeth Shue‘s cult 1987 adventure-comedy “Adventures in Babysitting.” Blanchard, meanwhile, who is just 13, is set to star with Paris Berelc (“Mighty Med”) in the live-action adventure-comedy “Invisible Sister.”

Both films are set to begin production this spring during a hiatus for Disney Channel’s “Girl Meets World” and Disney Xd’s “Mighty Med.

Friday the 13th of February will indeed be an unlucky day for Austin & Ally‘s Laura Marano, when the Disney Channel original movie Bad Hair Day premieres — and TVLine has an exclusive look at the extended trailer.
In Bad Hair Day, Marano plays Monica, a high school senior who on the morning of her prom can’t even come close to managing her mane. Worse, her dress gets wrecked, and then on top of it all, Monica is mistakenly enlisted by Liz (Good Luck Charlie‘s Leigh-Allyn Baker), a down-on-her-luck cop who’s on the trail of a jewel thief...
