- Scott is anxious to end Kate's plan but first they must team up with an unlikely ally.
- Voice overs while a selection of video shots rapidly appear on screen.
Scott McCall (Tyler Posey): "Previously on Teen Wolf . . . The mark of a family of hunters . . . the Calaveras."
Lydia Martin (Holland Roden): "What would they want with Derek?"
Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien): "How would we find them?
Scott: "Mexico. You don't know where he is either."
We see a video of Scott being attacked by Araya Calavera (Ivonne Coll) with something like an amped up cattle prod as Scott's face contorts, his body twists away from the weapon and he groans in pain.
Araya, through clenched jaws: "You know who took him. The name Scott."
Scott: "Kate."
Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig): "Is that Derek?"
Scott: "Sort of."
This review then ends with a video clip of a young man looking terrified.
The current episode opens on an exterior shot of the high school with what appears to be a full moon hanging in the sky and whooping, hollering and cheering in the background. Scene changes to show a team of teens in their uniforms running out of the locker room.
Coach Bobby Finstock (Orny Adams): "Hale, let's go. Derek Hale!"
As the teen athletes leave the building, another male is seen walking back towards the locker rooms and reaches his hand out to open the door. Another teen is doubled over inside a shower stall, but when he lifts his head to see who has entered, we see it's someone in the midst of a transformation and then he begins growling. The other young man rushes over to turn the shower off and then forcefully lifts the transforming, panting teen.
"I thought . . . I thought I could control it."
"All this risk, just for a basketball game?"
Still panting, "It's the finals. They need me."
Young Peter Hale (Michael Fjordbak): "To do what? Rip someone's throat out on the court? Even born wolves have to learn control on a full moon, Derek."
Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) with his voice becoming increasingly louder and more panicked: "Yeah, but it's supposed to be easier for us, why does it hurt like this?"
