A new campaign led by six creators is out to set the record straight about HIV. The project is titled #HIVBeats, it comes from #endHIV, Greater Than AIDS, and production company Diktator, and it consists of six stylish videos that update viewers about recent developments related to HIV testing, contraction, and treatment.
Each #HIVBeats video is led by a different creator, and each one tackles its own subject within the sphere of HIV education. Todrick Hall, for example, debunks myths about HIV contraction in his own booty-shaking way, while Catrific discusses the effect the virus has on pregnancy and DaveyWavey explains what it means to be “undetectable.”
The other three videos in the #HIVBeats campaign come from Amber’s Closet, Bob the Drag Queen, and Zackary Druck. All six installments in the series were filmed at YouTube Space La.

Of all the genres that found popularity in the Edm age, drum and bass seems like the most under-appreciated. While a number of top notch producers keep the scene going strong, the forward thinking genre tends to be overlooked by all but the purest of dance music fans. But this may be the year all that changes as Belgian drum and bass producer Netsky drops his excellent new album 3, a follow up to his last LP released four years ago.
On 3, Netsky crafts expertly produced breakbeats that serve as the power behind uplifting drum and bass tunes. The heavy use of soulful vocal collaborators and soaring, organic instrumentation brings a human element to the frantically paced drum excursions, and Netsky manages to create a cohesive sounding album that holds together as a singular work. The majority of the tracks on the album feature guest artists, too, with Jauz, Chromeo and...

Darth Vader #15
Written by Kieron Gillen
Art by Salvador Larroca
Colors by Edgar Delgado
Published by Marvel Comics
With this issue, the “Vader Down” crossover concludes mostly the same as it began and then unfolded: with a series of fun moments in service of an incremental, mostly-incidental plot. Picking up where the previous chapter in Star Wars #14 left off, each of the specific cliffhangers gets resolved in due fashion, before the storyline as a whole is brought to a close, ending in probably the most expected (and ho-hum) way possible.
As has been the case throughout this story, writer Kieron Gillen and artist Salvador Larroca pack this issue with several fun, fist-pumping moments, from Dr. Aphra getting back in Vader’s good graces in the most over-the-top way possible (in what amounts to a great personal sacrifice for her and a big visual moment for Larroca), to an armless Threepio saving Chewbacca,...

Superman: American Alien #1
Written by Max Landis
Art by Nick Dragotta
Colors by Alex Guimarães
Letters by John Workman
Published by DC Comics
Superman: American Alien #1 takes readers back to a time and place they’ve seen over and over again: the days of a young Clark Kent grappling with his powers on his family’s farm. However, the dynamism between Max Landis’s writing and Nick Dragotta’s art keep the story from becoming another retread of a young boy becoming Superman.
In the miniseries’s first issue, Clark floats (just like the characters from Landis’ film Chronicle). It doesn’t seem tied to a particular emotion or stimulus; Clark just floats with no control over how it starts, continues, or stops. As Superman’s publishing history shows, he’ll get a handle on this. But Landis and Dragotta take an interesting path getting to that point.

Jj Abrams has said that making Star Wars: The Force Awakens was "an intense and terrifying prospect".
The filmmaker, who also co-wrote the series' seventh instalment with Lawrence Kasdan, revealed that the chance to revive Star Wars outweighed any misgivings he had about taking on the directorial reins.
"It's [the] opportunity I think that's greater than the fear." Abrams told MTV of working on Star Wars. "Greater than the risk, and so I'm more excited about the work that everyone has done on the movie and this incredible cast."
He continued: "It was an amazing experience making this movie for everyone. There was a sort of weird buzz in the air when we were making this movie, but we were all just aware of how hard we had to work to make it something worthy of people's time."

Jj Abrams has been chatting about the pressure and "weird buzz" of Star Wars: The Force Awakens...
It's just over 11 months and counting to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, director Jj Abrams' big screen restarting of the Star Wars franchise. The anticipation of the film's release seems to have been only heightened by the release of the maiden teaser trailer before Christmas, and if it wasn't there already, Star Wars: The Force Awakens seems to have shot to the top of many people's to-watch list. Including our own.
"It is without question an intense and terrifying prospect", Abrams told MTV when asked how he feels about the anticipation towards the film. "It's also the opportunity I think that's greater than the fear. Greater than the risk, and so I'm more excited about the work that everyone has done on the movie, and this...

Get More: Music News "It is without question an intense and terrifying prospect," J.J. Abrams told MTV News when asked how he feels to know that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is pretty much everyone's most anticipated movie of 2015. There's obviously been a lot of excitement surrounding the first teaser trailer too of course, something Abrams is well aware of. "It's also the opportunity I think that's greater than the fear. Greater than the risk, and so I'm more excited about the work that everyone has done on the movie and this incredible cast." After describing Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron as "remarkably great", the director went on to look back at his experience shooting Episode VII. "It was an amazing experience making this movie for everyone. There was a sort of weird buzz in the air when we were making this movie, but we were all just aware...

After a sterling first season, expectations were high for the sophomore season of Jenji Kohan’s female prison drama. Fortunately, Season 2 proved to be just as juicy, sweet, and tart as you’d want it to be. (Major Spoilers ahead.) At BuzzFeed, you can read my latest feature, "The Whole Of Orange Is the New Black Season 2 Is Greater Than The Sum Of Its Parts," in which I review the entirety of the incredible second season of Netflix's Orange Is the New Black. Orange Is the New Black’s stunning second season manages to be ambitiously large and somehow intimate. It’s the equivalent of a pointillist painting: from up close each dash and dot has its own individual identity and meaning, but when viewed at a distance, they coalesce into something altogether different and dependent on its parts. In its deeply complex and magnificent sophomore year, Jenji Kohan’s...
