A dysfunctional family reunite for a weekend at their old lakeside cottage after many years apart. Overcast explores human behavior in the family unit and witnesses the dynamics of Gail, Ricky, George and Russell as it transcends beneath the outer fabric of family bonds and asks the question, can the end of the world be enough to persuade us to overcome strained relationships or are we pre programmed to complain and moan about the things that just don't matter. Overcast experiments with format using Insightful interviews view each character as the weekend unfolds to show us what we think and what we do are two very different things.
