*** (out of 4)
Special effects artist Allan A. Apone is interviewed in this 15 minute featurette that can be found on the Shout Factory release of EVILSPEAK. Apone starts off talking about how he originally wanted to be a baseball player but as that didn't pan out he decided to get into his current profession. He talks about some of the first jobs he got including a John Huston film and then we get to EVILSPEAK. Apone talks about the now famous pig eating sequence and how that was shot. He also talks about his favorite effect done in the movie and a scary thing that happened to him while working alone one night. This is certainly a fun interview that fans of EVILSPEAK are going to enjoy since there are some very good stories told about the production of the film. Apone comes across very charming and certainly knows how to tell a good story.
