Roberto asks Carlo to diagnose his father, Nélson, an elderly man who is perhaps partially demented, as he spends his days asking his nurse to dress up in the clothes of Roberto's late mother.
When Carlo discovers that Aurora has been in contact with the assisted suicide agency, he finds the situation difficult to accept. He discovers that decisions of life and death go beyond rights and choices when people we love are involved.
