After their blue van is struck by the fireball explosion, it is on its side 'smouldering' i.e., steaming. There is no sign that it was ever afire.

IF a meteorite could cause a pyroclastic cloud, the cloud would continue in the direction of the angle of the meteorite's impact. The cloud could not take an immediate right angle from the impact site.
What they called a nuclear cloud is more popularly known as a mushroom cloud all over the earth, a cloud formed from the things ejected from earth after a big explosion or impact, as the case here is. The initial small pieces of the asteroid could have caused destruction where they hit earth, but were not big enough to give rise to a mushroom cloud.
It is said that the rogue planet cause the earth's axis of inclination changed to become perpendicular to earth. In that case, The north pole side of half the globe must have received direct sunlight for 24 hours a day for 2 weeks so all that ice must already have melted, and the other pole side of half the globe has not received even a ray of sunlight in last 2 weeks, so all the oceans their must have got frozen like Antarctica. It is odd that not of the billions of people have noted that sun and moon's rising and setting has changed, meaning the Sun is always visible or never visible for 2 weeks.
at 5:14, the earth is noticeably seen as rotating while the asteroid passes by. Unless it is a time-accelerated video shot, there is no way that Earth could rotating that fast that a human eye or camera can notice. Earth rotates at 24 hours per revolution, that doesn't show any movement to a human eye or a camera.
When Vince is looking at the map after they run out of gas, he's holding it upside down. However, one could still make out what one is looking in the map. Often, Google or MS maps show mirror image of the map as one would have liked to see, and one can still mentally adjusts to that, and makes out what one is looking for. So, it is odd, and probably a disregard to details, it cannot be called an intentional goof for sure.
Vince and Steve are residing in that area, so they must be knowing all about nearest gas stations and must have filled gas from each of the stations nearby one or many times. They are not far away from the residence. Vince didn't need to locate one in a map.
