Shot in only 14 days.
After shooting an Aerosmith video with Alexa Vega, Tebo pitched her the story, and she immediately signed on. For a year, Vega was set to play Katie, even postponing the movie for 5 months so she could shoot "Tomorrow People" in Vancouver. Three weeks before production, Vega emailed Tebo saying she couldn't do the movie due to "religious reasons". She was replaced by Vanessa Lengies.
The streets of Mexicali were actually the abandoned set of the canceled TV Show "Vegas" starring Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis.
Instead of hotels and rental cars, Tebo wanted as much money as he could to go into the movie, so he saved production thousands by sleeping on Steven Tylers couch and borrowing his cars while in Hollywood.
Tebo wrote the part of Kasape Suka specifically for his friend Steven Tyler.
