Seriously!?

Warning: Spoilers
As if the Hunger Games books and movies weren't pathetic enough, now there's another video for the trend sheep to waste their time with, a cast interview (which by the way is very boring). All the Hunger Games book was was a ton of bad rip-off writing that any melodramatic emo teenager could have written. It's a story ripping off older dystopian works and basically it's about kids killing each other in the woods. Other people say it's about courage, rebellion and survival... come on, is society really that stupid? The author wrote it so she'd be raking in the cash, there's no deep, profound message in these awful books! She must've been on something too when she wrote the books, look at the names she gave some of the characters!

The movies only made it worse, selling off a Hunger Games franchise like there's no tomorrow (at the local Petro Canada you can buy Hunger Games collectible mugs now, ugh.) The main character, Katniss (who my little brother and I call Catpiss) is played by a rather ugly woman with a dorky-looking braid sticking out the back of her head, A Wal-Mart looking costume and bows and arrows on her back. The cast was a lot of terrible actors and actresses and into the bonfire my Hunger Games DVD went.

I didn't need to see a cast interview of this movie, because in all honestly, who cares what the cast thinks of the movie? They're acting in one of the worst franchises of the 21st century, the only reason it's so popular is because sheep love to follow what's trendy and this load of crud is the latest thing. I don't care about what Jennifer Lawrence loves about her character or if Liam Hemsworth thinks the movie is great, it's a waste of film resources to make a 7-minute cast interview that three years from now nobody will care about.

My advice? If you like the dystopian genre, avoid this heap of garbage. Dawn of the Dead (the original 1970's one) Soylent Green, The Omega Man, Logan's Run and Akira, those are real dystopian movies with a powerful message about society and just because they don't have the latest CGI or bad acting doesn't mean they're no better than The Hunger Games. All The Hunger Games books and movies are good for is campfire kindling and landfill bait. If you're an intelligent person you'll see what I mean sooner or later when this pathetic series disappears under the next piece of trash fad. Don't get me wrong, popular movies aren't all bad. I loved the Harry Potter series, I love Sinister (2012). I love The X-Files, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, Goosebumps, Batman and Tales from the Crypt... but what's popular is not always good and what's good is not always popular.
