In the world of anime, there are childhood classics like Pokémon, Dragon Ball, and Naruto, and then there’s Death Note. Ever since the anime premiered in 2006, it solidified its status as a cultural icon, earning itself the honorable Animation of the Year award in 2007. The series stands apart from the other series in the Shonen genre because it does not rely on fast-paced action sequences to keep its audience hooked. Instead, it features a tug-of-war psychological warfare between Light Yagami and L.
Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba
Death Note is probably the most renowned work by Tsugumi Ohba, as the manga series was always a step ahead, forcing its reader to give their complete attention, or else they’ll lose the thread that weaves the story together. However, the manga would have never existed if Ohba hadn’t decided to alter their career, purely to survive.

Crazy Rich Asians star Jing Lusi and Richard Armitage are leading an ITV drama about an all-night plane flight from London to Beijing and the corridors of power within Whitehall.
Lesley Sharp is also set for Bad Wolf’s Red Eye, which is the debut TV project from Flightplan writer Peter A. Dowling.
The show will air on Itvx in 2024. After attending a medical conference in Beijing and coming frighteningly close to dying in a car crash, Dr Matthew Nolan, played by Armitage arrives home and is immediately arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport. Exhausted and confused, Nolan is accused of the murder of a woman who was in the car he crashed. DC Hana Li, played by Lusi, is the no-nonsense, London officer charged with accompanying Nolan back to Beijing, but plenty happens on the way.

When I spoke to actor Chris Diamantopoulos about his work in the upcoming Peacock science fiction series "Mrs. Davis," I did not intend to talk about superhero movies. But the intimidatingly busy character actor and voice over artist (whose roles include everything from the guy who tried to steal Pam in "The Office" to Disney's current Mickey Mouse) is no stranger to the genre -- he's voiced Aquaman, Steve Trevor, and Green Arrow across various animated projects, in addition to a role in Prime Video's "Invincible." He knows what's up. And he knows exactly who he wants to play next.
While deep into a segue about his turn as a bonafide action hero in the underrated and under-seen alien action movie "Man Vs.", I asked Diamantopoulos if he was interested in playing more leading men, more action hero types. After all, the current Hollywood formula seems to involve taking inherently...

“Unfortunately, no one can be told what The Matrix is. You’ll have to see it for yourself.”
As the ice-cool captain of the Nebuchadnezzar – Morpheus – puts so eloquently, it’s way better to witness the 1999 dystopian classic The Matrix with your very own eyes than have a guy like me describe it to you.
Indeed, though the Wachowski’s iconic sci-fi trilogy left Netflix just a couple of months ago, the streaming giant’s newest slate has been released and surprisingly, Neo, Trinity and Morpheus are all set to make their hyper-stylish return to the service.
Yes, that’s right, as of April 1st, all three Matrix pics – which includes The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Matrix Revolutions – are re-launching on Netflix, so if you’re one of the few people who missed out on the cyberpunk adventures of Neo and co., you can go ahead and binge-watch...

“This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”
While the Renaissance of Keanu Reeves continues to go from strength-to-strength, it’s safe to say that expectations are sky-high for The Matrix 4 to deliver a modern re-interpretation of the Man Vs. Machine theme that the series is so renowned for. Way back in 1999, the original dystopian sci-fi classic completely rocked the cinematic landscape and went on to become one of the most influential action films of all-time. So, no pressure on the fourth installment, then.

For more than a decade, Rob Czar and Corinne Leigh have shared their Diy experiments, Pinterest adventures, and other crafts projects on the ThreadBanger YouTube channel. Now, they're undertaking what is arguably their biggest initiative yet: They have purchased a 100-year-old house, and as they refurbish it, they will document their steps in a web series called Man Vs. House.
Much like Mr. Kate's Omg We Bought A House, Man Vs. House begins with the purchase of an aged residence in serious need of a face lift. As they walk around their new digs, Czar and Leigh show the crumbling floorboards, grimy surfaces, and vermin-infested nooks they will need to shape up. In the second half of the video, they begin the cathartic process of gutting their new interior.
Czar and Leigh have long served as one of YouTube's most reliable duos, and their new series figures to be quality entertainment as well.

If there’s one company that knows how to make money out of their franchises, it’s Bandai Namco. They’ve ensured that there hasn’t been a mainstream system launched that doesn’t have at least one version of Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig-Dug available for it since the wildly popular 1995 release of Namco Museum Volume 1 for the original PlayStation. Outside of those Museum collections, they’ve also released a few of their classics individually via various digital stores, or for your smartphone. If the originals don’t float your boat, there are Dx versions, remixes, remakes and Championship Editions to blow your money on. Like I say, they know how to make money out of their franchises.
The compilations are usually somewhat lightweight in terms of the number of games that are included though and sadly, this Nintendo Switch version is no different. 11 games make up Namco Museum for Switch.

I honestly never really thought about what would happen if Superman faced off with Ant-Man. My first initial reaction to that would be that Superman would kick Ant-Man's ass. However, according to a Quantum Physicist, Ant-Man actually has the upper hand and could defeat Superman in a battle.
Dr. Spiros Michalakis, of the California Institute of Technology, recently did an interview with Inverse and talked about his experience of being a consultant on Marvel's Ant-Man. In the interview, he explained how Ant-Man's shrinking powers work:
“When I was looking to inject elements of modern physics into the script, I brought up this idea that, when Ant-Man goes into the Microverse and something malfunctions, he doesn’t just go to just a smaller space like Fantastic Voyage, (he goes to a step beyond the Proteus) … This is a place where the nature of reality changes around you. So, when you enter the quantum realm,...

Looking back on this still-young century makes clear that 2007 was a major time for cinematic happenings — and, on the basis of this retrospective, one we’re not quite through with ten years on. One’s mind might quickly flash to a few big titles that will be represented, but it is the plurality of both festival and theatrical premieres that truly surprises: late works from old masters, debuts from filmmakers who’ve since become some of our most-respected artists, and mid-career turning points that didn’t necessarily announce themselves as such at the time. Join us as an assembled team, many of whom were coming of age that year, takes on their favorites.

Marvel Comics has announced a new comic book series called Deadpool Vs. The Punisher, which means that we're going to get to see these two badass vigilantes battle it out! The comic comes from writer Fred Van Lente with art by Pepe Perez.
This is an interesting match-up because they have completely different personalities. Of course they aren't going to get along! Deadpool is a hilarious, non-stop talker, and The Punisher is completely humorless and always serious. The one thing they do have in common is that they are killing machines, so it should make for a good fight!
When talking about the series Van Lente tells Marvel:
"It’s a real peanut-butter-in-chocolate situation, and you take that compare/contrast and run with it. You put Deadpool in a gritty crime story and Frank in this kind of insane, manic world where Deadpool’s adventures take place, and you let...

Women suffrage movie 'Mothers of Men': Dorothy Davenport becomes a judge and later State Governor in socially conscious thriller about U.S. women's voting rights. Women suffrage movie 'Mothers of Men': Will women's right to vote lead to the destruction of The American Family? Directed by and featuring the now all but forgotten Willis Robards, Mothers of Men – about women suffrage and political power – was a fast-paced, 64-minute buried treasure screened at the 2016 San Francisco Silent Film Festival, held June 2–5. I thoroughly enjoyed being taken back in time by this 1917 socially conscious drama that dares to ask the question: “What will happen to the nation if all women have the right to vote?” One newspaper editor insists that women suffrage would mean the destruction of The Family. Women, after all, just did not have the capacity for making objective decisions due to their emotional composition. It...

Jason Moring, Double Dutch International president, recently announced seven deals for the picture, "Man Vs." Double Dutch has sold the picture in the following territories: United Kingdom to Metronome, Japan to At Entertainment, Commonwealth of Independent States to Top Film, Pan Asia Pay TV to Fox International, Middle East to Gulf Films, Turkey to Sinema TV, and Thailand to Major Katana.
"Man Vs." follows the host of a hit TV series, 'Man Vs.', Doug Woods is forced to fend for himself for five days in remote locations with no crew, food, or water, only the cameras he carries on his back to film his experiences. Doug's in the remote woods for a routine episode, until he's awoken by an earth-shaking crash. Things get weirder as it becomes clear Doug isn't alone. Someone or something is watching him. Man Vs is a gripping 'found footage' thriller about one man's extraordinary desire to survive at all costs.
The film is written and directed by Adam Massey ("The Intruders") and stars Chris Diamantopoulos ("The Three Stooges," "The Art of the Steal").
"We are very excited to have made these deals for Man Vs," says Moring, "Terror is a universal emotion and Man Vs is terrifying not matter where you are from. Audiences in the UK, Japan and the others are going to be scared well into the night!"...

Reality television and science fiction would seem to be two diametrically opposed concepts, but with Man Vs. writer/director Adam Massey has merged them into a fascinating character study that just so happens to turn into an edge-of-your-seat thriller in the third act, all while keeping the protagonist’s psychological voyage front and center.
