A Wonderful Movie about the current Millenial Generation
andreleao9825 April 2016
In TV there aren't many examples of good adaptations of the otaku, geek, nerd, generation. This generation that is known by their smartphones that if you are not online you don't exist, and also all the problems created by that. Anti-social people that just have a really hard time meeting new people, online dating, and so on. The story for me is centered on Rita a young programmer girl who is really shy and can't just meet new people by herself, she has one true friend that is an otaku youtuber girl known as "Sailor Spoon", Rita meets a history teacher that is all about being old fashioned, no smartphones or even emails (though that doesn't make sense cause emails are not even popular with the smartphone generation lol). It's a deep story, with truly believable characters with real life problems, the acting is good for a Portuguese production and the overall quality of the movie is very good for a small project like this. Recommended to everyone that has the least interest in a slice of current life on western societies.
