- After taking a ride home from Slade, Thea becomes his prisoner. Can Oliver and his friends save her? Also, someone close to Oliver is working for Slade, since his return from the Island after Tommy's death.
- Open with Slade and Thea in the car. Eventually she realizes that he's not taking her home. He demands she get out of the car and she's promptly grabbed by Blood.
Roy tells Queen he's having second thoughts about leaving Thea. Queen thinks it's just too dangerous. Felicity tells Queen he has to attend a board meeting.
Back on the island Sara and the men have Hendricks tied up. One of the other men thinks they're sentencing him to death, since Slade will kill Hendricks once he's done with him.
Queen catches up with Isabel before the board meeting. He thanks her for her help. Moira arrives to make sure he's attending her debate that night.
During the debate Thea appears on the video screen in custody. The message reads "How much is Thea Queen's life worth to you?"
Moira tells police she can't think of anyone who would try and get to her through Thea. She suggests the families of those who died because of the machine, but Queen assures her that's not it.
Isabel is working feverishly on Queen's behalf. She tells him that because of SEC regulations they cannot push back the board meeting. He says he can't think about that right now and she suggests he can make somebody else a temporary CEO. He wants her to do it and scribbles a quick contract.
Felicity has found an image of the license plate that picked up Thea. It's registered to Slade Wilson. Despite it seeming "too easy" Queen is going to go to the address. Sara gives him tranquilizer darts.
On the island Sara has one of the guys disable a land mine. Her plan is to use the explosives and essentially rig Hendricks to blow up when he's with Slade on the boat. Her rationale is that Hendricks is dead either way.
Slade won't tell Queen where Thea is located. So he hits him with one of the tranq arrows and calls the police.
With Slade is in custody, one of the detectives tells Lance that Slade has been in Costa Rica for 72 hours and apparently has evidence to prove it. He's furious with Lance for going along with the vigilante.
Queen pops into the interrogation room and asks Slade how he got off the island. He says he swam, and thinks both of them are still on the island in some way. Queen yells at him not to punish his sister for his sins. A detective interrupts Slade and tells him he's free to go.
Digs, Roy and Sara attempt to follow Slade from the station but he gives them the slip.
Slade tells Thea she's free to go, but adds that he has information that her brother has been lying to her for years.
Roy is tired of listening to Queen, who he blames for the situation for Thea.
Queen goes to see her mother. She wants to talk about their situation. She's worried Thea is dead and talks about not being able to go through that again. She's feeling guilty for being responsible for what has happened. Eventually Queen is able to comfort her.
On the island Slade arrives with Queen to make the exchange. The Mrakuru has given him heightened senses and he's able to smell the TNT on Hendricks' back. He considers killing them but Shado appears to him..
Roy and Digs argue further. Eventually Roy pins Digs to a table and Sara points her bow at him. Queen arrives, demanding to know what's going on. Roy storms out just as Felicity gets a shocking message.
Queen rushes to the board room. Isabel has used her temporary CEO status to take total control of the company. Queen realizes she's working with Slade and the two of them fight. He threatens to kill her if she doesn't tell her Thea's location. She says if he doesn't arrive alone Slade will kill Thea.
Arrow goes to see Thea in Slade's warehouse hideout. While he fights off dozens of henchmen we see Slade as Deathstroke stopping a prisoner bus. Deathstroke kills the guards and offers the prisoners a deal.
Felicity tells Queen that Thea is fine, she walked into a police station several minutes earlier. Digs tells Queen this means Slade was distracting him while he put together his army. The abduction of Thea was a diversion.
At the police station Thea is furious at both Oliver and Moira Queen. She knows Malcolm is her father because Slade told her.
In a flashback, Slade, still hearing Shado's voice tells Oliver, Sara and the rest the island will be their prison. He tells Queen he'll be visiting his family when he returns.
In the present, Lance is placed under arrest by his pompous chief for conspiracy to aid felonies with the vigilante while Sara looks on.
Meanwhile, Slade meets with Blood and Isabel in his office where Blood is upset with Slade because the abduction of Thea will probably guarantee tha Moira wins the election, and on top of that Slade is now a fugtive since Thea identified him as her kidnapper. Isabel says that now she has full control of Queen Consolidated and she has now ordered the applied sciences division to work on developing a serum based on Slade's blood for his new army. Slade tells them that his abduction of Thea was just a diversion for him to form his army and that Oliver needs one more diversion.
Roy is seen driving out of Sterling City for places unknown after seeing Thea alive and well.
In his hideout, Oliver Queen arrives and is upset that he fell into every one of Slade's tricks. Digs and Felicity try to reafirm his guilt and despite that both Roy and Sara are missing, they persuade Oliver to take the fight to Slade himself.
In the final scene, as Laura is on her way out of her apartment after getting a phone call from Sara about her father's arrest, there is a knock on her door and it is Slade. He tells her that Oliver Queen is the Arrow before fleeing, while Laura stands in the doorway looking on in shock.
