    Good intentions, but...

    I feet like too large a part of this film was the filmmaker talking about making a film about his dad; I would have preferred that he had just made a film about his dad, instead of spending so much time talking about his intentions and goal of making a film about his dad. It really took a lot of focus away from the intended subject of the film, and it weakened the film overall. I would have also liked to see more about the impact Robert Nakamura had made on filmmaking, thoughts from his students, and other filmmakers that he had influenced, and in what ways we might see his influence on today's filmmakers.
