Sebastian Hülk was attached to the role of Markus for the whole of pre-production until a few weeks before principal photography. He even remained committed to the role when the original director had to leave the project due to personal reasons. Scheduling conflicts forced Hülk to drop out at the last Minute, although he always championed the screenplay.
The short had a pre-production of 2 years. During that time the screenplay attracted David Bennent for the nighthob part (who had portrayed similar character in Ridley Scott's Legend (1985) ). Scheduling conflicts and a delay in production however prevented him from playing the role.
The film was officially selected at the San Diego Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival and received a screening on July 19. The director Max Ponischowski attended and participated in a Q & A panel afterwards.
