This Star Wars article contains spoilers.
Disney’s upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series will not only bring back Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to their iconic roles but also unlock a new era of storytelling for these beloved Star Wars characters. From a certain point of view, the show will walk a similar path to The Book of Boba Fett, exploring the lost years of the Jedi Master before his fateful meeting with Luke Skywalker in A New Hope, just as Boba Fett used flashbacks to flesh out the bounty hunter’s untold story after Return of the Jedi.
But some might say Obi-Wan Kenobi is at a disadvantage compared to The Book of Boba Fett‘s relatively blank slate. Since the character’s overall story is already set in stone — we know where he’s going and where his journey must end — how high can the stakes really get in the new Disney+ series?...

Star Wars: Rebels is back, with nods to the original films, and some menacing villainy from Darth Vader himself. Here's Cameron's review...
This review contains spoilers.
2.1 The Siege Of Lothal
Season one of the latest Star Wars animated spin-off series came to an exciting and memorable end earlier this year. Not to mention a damn good one too. The Rebels gang had been joined by fan favourites from The Clone Wars, Padawan Ahsoka Tano and Clone Trooper Captain Rex, and one of the franchise's most iconic characters ever, Darth Vader.
It was a surprised-filled finale which took Star Wars: Rebels to new heights, and one wondered if the show could keep up the heart-stopping momentum. Thankfully, this one hour opener (well, a Us hour - it’s just over forty minutes) demonstrates aptly that these animated adventures have got much to offer. So much more.

As the world prepares to completely lose its mind with the release of the new Star Wars film, it is obviously time to try to stir the pot as much as possible. That in mind, the previous films from the franchise are going to be released on April 10th in digital edition, and with some new bonuses to help sucker you in to the purchase.
They also come with the legacy bonus content, and put together, these are impressive releases. I don’t want to overly comment on how many sales the first three episodes are going to get, but if you need to catch up on the universe in general, this is your chance. And, since we’re looking at a new generation who need to get on board for the new film, this is the way to go.
Take a look at all the bonus potential below, and...

In its second round of pilots, which are uploaded for users to watch and comment on, Amazon Studios has chosen which are going to move on and become full-blown series. From the five that were originally streamed to users, four have been given series orders, which is a higher amount than the last round of pilots. And, finally, Amazon’s Instant Video is joining the big leagues by having its own original dramas to compete with Netflix’s House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. Fingers crossed these turn into big hits for Amazon, but only because I don’t subscribe to either it or Netflix, so I really have no horse in this race.
As reported by Deadline, Amazon’s first drama is The After, from X-Files creator Chris Carter, marking his return to series television (even though we all know what Amazon is offering isn’t technically television,...

Amazon is officially an original drama series player. A month after Amazon Studios uploaded five pilots — two dramas and three comedies — for users to watch and comment on, the company has quietly notified the auspices of four of them that they are being picked up to series. That includes Amazon’s first dramas: The After from Chris Carter, marking The X-Files creator’s return to series television, and Eric Overmyer and Michael Connelly’s Bosch, starring Titus Welliver. After her character on "The Following" met her end, Natalie Zea was planning on taking a little time off before going after her next acting job. That lasted all of a month, when she got a call from her rep about an Amazon pilot called "The Rebels."
"He told me the premise of it" -- a former pro football cheerleader becomes the owner of a ragtag franchise when her husband dies -- "and I was like, 'Well, who would I play?' And he said, 'You're the woman -- you're the [lead].' I'm like, 'Oh! Yes, absolutely, let's do this,'" Zea tells Zap2it, laughing. "As I'm reading it I'm thinking, this is hitting on every single criteria, every single thing I said was a dealbreaker [to go back to work], it was hitting on. By the time I got to the end of the script I called my reps and said 'I don't...

Remember last year when through its Amazon overlords Lovefilm put several pilots online including the pretty good failed Zombieland pilot? Well, they are at it again with ten new pilots, none of which have committed to series yet but with which the lucky few will go to one of those full season exclusive type deals that Netflix do so well.
I don’t know about you but I kind of wish they would just commit to something right out the gate and take the risks, its paid off for Netflix so far and Amazon are attracting some major talent to their stable too.
The pilots include; Bosch a detective show based on a Michael Connelly book series and starring the great Titus Welliver, Kids shows Wishenproof, Hardboiled Eggheads, The JoB and Graff Show and Gortimer Gibbons Life on Normal Street. We also have comedy from The Rebels; a kind of...

On Wednesday (Feb. 6), Amazon served up its second helping of pilots, including projects from X-Files creator Chris Carter and author Michael Connelly. Feedback from viewers will help decide which of the five get a series order (i.e. become the next Alpha House).
Wondering which are worth your time? Our critics weigh in:
The After
X-Files creator Chris Carter’s first show in over a decade tells a familiar story (the apocalypse!) from an intriguing new perspective, taking a ground-level view of a mysterious end-of-the-world event. The After centers on eight people who all have pulp-novel job descriptions: Sleazy Lawyer,...

Amazon has announced its second slew of pilots set for the “trial-by-viewer” model that will determine if shows get picked up for a full season. The media giant will be releasing five adult dramas and comedies alongside five children’s shows for free on Amazon Instant Video. Among the comedies is “Mozart in the Jungle,” a collaboration between “The Grand Budapest Hotel” actor Jason Schwartzman, writer-director Roman Coppola, and writer-director Alex Timbers. Based on the book by Blair Tindall, the series stars Michael McDowell as a veteran conductor and Gael García Bernal (“The Science of Sleep,” “Y Tu Mamá También”) as the new conductor of the New York Symphony who drives him out. Other comedies on the roster include “The Rebels,” about an ex-cheerleader played by Natalie Zea (“Justified”) who inherits a fictional pro-football team after her husband dies, and “Transparent,” another dysfunctional family series starring “Arrested Development’s” Jeffrey Tambor.
