Scream Queens is not long for this world. The Fox series was one of the more surprising renewals last year, so losing more viewers can not be a good sign.
Fox: Scream Queens (1.4 million/0.5 rating) ended flat out of encores of Ice Age Mammoth Christmas (2.6 million/0.8 rating) and New Girl (1.5 million/0.5 rating).
NBC: Michael Buble Sings & Swings (5.3 million/0.8 rating) and Tony Bennett celebrates 90 (6.7 million/0.8 rating) pulled in anemic ratings.
ABC: It was Toy Story That Time Forgot (3.4 million/0.8 rating), Shrek The Halls (3.7 million/1.0 rating) and The Year: 2016 (3.8 million/1.1 rating).
CBS: Encores of NCIS (9.8 million/1.0 rating) and Bull (6.2 million/0.8 rating) were on the menu for the eye network.
The CW: Terry Crews Saves Christmas (1 million/0.3 rating) could not save The CW from poor ratings, while Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown 2016 (0.9 million/0.3 rating) fared just as badly.

Well, you'd almost never believe it but it turns out that 2016 was exactly like 2015 – if you are ABC's The Year: 2016 (1.1/4). With some Stranger Things and looking back at a very strange year, the 9 – 11 Pm Robin Roberts' hosted retrospective was not only the highest rated show of the night among adults 18-49 but also exactly even with The Year: 2015 back last December 22 last year Which, with a Toy Story That Time Forgot (0.8/3) encore opening the night, gave the…...

Ho Ho Ho! Toss me that football, yo!
With a night mostly filled with specials, comedy, and hour-long dramas that the traditional viewing public has never tuned into, football was all anybody cared about.
And that, still, wasn't anything to crow about.
NBC managed to lose an entire ratings point from the previous week for NFL Thursday Night Football and still win the week with a hefty 3.7 for the evening and about 12 million viewers throughout.
ABC took a chance on repeats of Toy Story that Time Forgot, which remained forgotten with a 0.8 and Shrek the Halls, which did a tick better with 0.9.
View Slideshow: ABC Cheat Sheet: What Will Be Canceled?
At 9, the Great American Baking Show, featuring some really ugly flat, misshapen fruity bread drew 0.9.

Toy Story That Time Forgot was originally aired on ABC December 2, 2014. It's after Christmas, and Bonnie has a play date with her friend Mason. Mason just got a new video game system, and most people should be able to relate with wanting to play your friend's new [insert whatever system excited you most as a child]. Video games are also brought to light as a potential threat to toys, which they may be. As the Battlesaurs, Mason's toys, are quickly forgotten the old gang we have grown up with enters Mason's room.
This short is a great chapter in the Toy Story anthology that welcomes us back with it's heart and sharp humor. Due to time restraints, things move quickly, which is only odd during some moments with Trixie (Kristen Schaal) and Reptillus Maximus (Kevin McKidd). Of course Buzz and Woody (Tom Hanks and Tim Allen) are present, though a bit more absent than we are accustomed to. It...

'Tis the season to annoy everyone by using "'tis the season" way too many times when talking about holiday stuff. Halloween hasn't even happened yet, but the Christmas decorations are already taking over drug stores so ABC is just going ahead and announcing its 2015 holiday lineup. It's something to look forward to after the candy is gone, anyway, and since the "Toy Story 20th Anniversary Special" and "It's Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown" are involved, you should definitely mark your calendars.
Here's a chronological list of holiday programming highlights, via ABC:

Whether you like it or not, Toy Story 4 is definitely happening.
Toy Story 3 was released in 2010 to critical claim, huge box-office success (it became the first animated feature to gross over $1bn) and, most importantly, seemed to tie an extremely neat bow on the franchise, giving what many fans thought was the perfect ending to the incredible trilogy that had played out over the past 15 years.
The characters have been brought back since then, in two television specials – Toy Story of Terror! and Toy Story That Time Forgot – as well as three shorts: Hawaiian Vacation, Small Fry, and Partysaurus Rex. Generally these have been met with praise, although the larger movie audience – the one that forked out all of those dollars on seeing the films – have stayed more or less ignorant of them, and they are fairly easy to forget about.
Now, though, they’re coming back to the big screen,...

We.re still rejoicing over the latest developments for Toy Story 4, as, over the weekend, we were informed that the hugely anticipated Pixar sequel will revolve around Woody.s pursuit to find Bo-Peep. But since the Toy Story franchise is packed to the brim with characters that each of us adore with all of our hearts, we're also waiting to know which other figures will return. It.s now been confirmed that one character who will indeed return alongside Woody and Bo-Beep is Trixe. Kristen Schaal, who has voiced the blue plastic Triceratops in the likes of Toy Story 3, the trilogy of Toy Story Toons shorts, Toy Story Of Terror!, and Toy Story That Time Forgot, made this admission to me while we chatted about her upcoming turn as Mary Ellen in A Walk In The Woods. Can the post-Toy Story 3 shorts tell us anything about the upcoming direction of Pixar's Toy Story 4?
This article contains spoilers for Toy Story 3.
It seems to have become surprisingly tough to keep an open mind about Toy Story 4. Pixar have a mostly excellent track record in these things, especially when it comes to the Toy Story series. We struggle to think of a more consistently brilliant trilogy of films, so why were so many upset about the very real possibility of a fourth, also brilliant instalment, when it was announced last year?
Although some would cite the Cars films, or the impossible and yet still disappointing expectation that Monsters University would live up to Monsters Inc, it doesn't come down to anything so jaded. In all of the ways that Toy Story 3 is an excellent film, it's mostly because it feels like a near unimprovable conclusion to the series.

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, December 23, 2014. NBC's "One Direction: The TV Special" dominated Tuesday night among females 12-17, but failed to strike a cord in any other demographic as CBS repeats and ABC holiday specials ruled a sleepy Christmas Eve eve on Tuesday. Repeats of "NCIS," NCIS: Los Angeles" and "NCIS: New Orleans" were Tuesday's most watched shows overall, while encores of "Shrek the Halls" and "Toy Story That Time Forgot" led in the key demo for ABC. And NBC's three celebrity-driven specials all did the same weak demo number and drew under 3.7 million viewers. On to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, ABC averaged a 1.1 rating for Tuesday night, edging out the 1.0 rating for CBS in the key demographic. NBC's 0.7 key demo rating, Fox's 0.5 key demo rating and the 0.3 key demo rating for The CW trailed. Overall, though, CBS cruised with an estimated 8.95 million viewers and a 5.7 rating/10 share for Tuesday primetime.

Over on NBC, One Direction’s first-ever Stateside TV special premiered to just 3.1 mil and a 0.7 (though it gave the Peacock a 7 percent boost among female teens). Holiday special encores from Michael Buble and Kelly Clarkson...

Here, Ginnifer Goodwin previews the return of “Dark Snow” and her clashes with both David and old-school evil Regina, shares the trick to being “mad” at husband Josh Dallas and teases the introduction of another iconic Disney doyenne.

The Voice was again improved from last week's lows, seeing its Tuesday episode rise three-tenths of a point to a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49. Entering the home stretch of its fall cycle, it secured another nightly victory for NBC. Marry Me (1.4 adults) was similarly improved, though About a Boy (1.1 adults) held steady. Chicago Fire (1.6) adults was also even. Disney's latest TV foray for Toy Story, Toy Story That Time Forgot, didn't duplicate last year's ratings highs for the Halloween special. The holiday outing averaged a 1.9 rating among adults

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, December 2, 2014. The CW got huge numbers for the first part of the week's "Flash"/"Arrow" crossover event, but it was "The Voice" leading NBC to victory among young viewers and an procedural repeats leading CBS to an overall win. For "The Flash," it was the biggest audience since the season's second episode and tied for its best 18-49 demo number since that second episode. ABC was second for the night in the key demo as "Toy Story That Time Forgot" and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" took "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." to its best numbers in months. Of course, "S.H.I.E.L.D." was also boosted by not having to face a new "NCIS: New Orleans," but no matter the cause the Marvel drama hit its best figures since the season premiere in September. Reindeer are so last Christmas. This year, it’s all about dinosaurs, and ABC’s Toy Story That Time Forgot — which premiered Tuesday — has ‘em in spades.
This latest made-for-tv Toy Story sends Woody and the gang to Bonnie’s friend Mason’s house, where they encounter a twisted civilization of self-unaware dinosaur battle toys.
Actually, it’s not even fair to say “Woody the gang,” as Trixie the Triceratops (voiced by Bob’s Burgers‘ Kristen Schaal) really takes the lead this time around. It’s her unbreakable desire to be treated like a dinosaur — I can relate — that leads...

It was only a matter of time before animation's most playful franchise delivered a TV special for the Christmas holiday season, and ABC's new Toy Story That Time Forgot (Tuesday, 8/7c) is the opposite of forgettable, an instant delight that is sure to be a favorite perennial for years to come. While all of the usual Pixar playmates are along for the ride, the focus of this two-days-after-Christmas fable is the adorable dinosaur toy Trixie (winningly voiced by Kristen Schaal), who's longing for her "kid" master Bonnie to see her for the creature she is. But imagination is a funny thing, and Toy Story is nothing if not a celebration of the special bond children have for their toys, which they use (and sometimes abuse, or neglect) as they see fit.

When Disney announced last month that John Lasseter would direct a fourth "Toy Story" film, there was inevitable fan concern: But "Toy Story 3" ended so perfectly! Why do we need any more? But Pixar has always done right by its signature franchise, never pushing Woody, Buzz and the gang past a point of diminishing returns. There was plenty of trepidation about "Toy Story 2" and "Toy Story 3," and both times the consensus was that the new film was better than the last. And though the toys' tale could have easily ended with Andy saying goodbye to Woody (while the adults in the audience turned into weeping wrecks), the saga has continued with a handful of "Toy Story Toons" shorts, plus last year's "Toy Story of Terror!" Halloween special, all of them depicting the toys' lives with Bonnie, and they've all been charming, funny and very much worthy, if brief,...

America’s favorite playthings are back in a new animated adventure, Toy Story That Time Forgot. In the new ABC special, a post-Christmas playdate takes an unexpected turn when the season’s hottest action figures turn out to be dangerously delusional. Many actors in the Toy Story franchise — like Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack and Wallace Shawn — reprise their famous roles in the 30-minute special. This time, Trixie the triceratops, voiced by Kristen Schaal, takes center stage as she leads the effort to get the lost toys back to Bonnie’s room. “It was delightful to get to spend more … Continue reading →

You'd have to go a long way to find a career that touches as many far-flung bases as that of write-director-actor Wallace Shawn. One can know Shawn's voice from the "Toy Story" movies, but not recognize him from "The Princess Bride." You could, I suppose, know him as Blair's eventual stepfather on "Gossip Girl" and not know him as Rex or Vizzini. You could think yourself an intellectual and know "My Dinner with Andre" or "Vanya on 42nd Street," without knowing any of Shawn's acclaimed, often outspokenly political plays or his myriad essays. Shawn is so multi-faceted an artist that it's entirely unsurprising that a very brief conversation tied to ABC's very enjoyable "Toy Story That Time Forgot," airing on Tuesday, December 2, begins with simple questions about Rex's endearing short-armed innocence and progresses to the lure of acting to help him maintain a bourgeois lifestyle, delves into the anti-decadence message...

The Last Man on Earth is getting some company.
Mad Men‘s January Jones and 30 Rock‘s Kristen Schaal have landed significant roles in Fox’s forthcoming comedy, which stars Saturday Night Live vet Will Forte as humanity’s last hope.
Also joining the cast of the single-camera comedy are Mel Rodriguez (Enlisted) and Aussie actress Cleopatra Coleman (Step Up Revolution).
A Fox spokesperson declined to comment on the castings.
Given Last Man‘s premise, it’s unclear how the quartet will figure into the show, although we’re told that portions of the story will be told in flashback.

Just because "Toy Story 4" isn't coming out until the summer of 2017, that doesn't mean that your favorite childhood playthings are going to be absent until then. Just this week ABC will premiere "Toy Story That Time Forgot," a new half-hour Christmas special that features the toys in a brand new adventure. When you think of a Christmas special built around the "Toy Story" characters, you probably think that it's going to be something centered around the holiday and the introduction of new toys that come along with it...
But you'd be wrong.
"Toy Story That Time Forgot" is a distinct, wholly original half-hour film, written and directed by animation and comic book vet Steve Purcell that contributes wonderfully to the mythology while taking it in a wholly new direction. It throws preexisting "Toy Story" characters up against a bunch of new toys called the Battlesaurs, an eighties-style brand of gladiatorial combatants.

When it was announced that Pixar would be endeavoring to make a fourth "Toy Story" feature film (set for release on June 16th, 2017), there were those who decried it as a shallow cash grab since, creatively, there was no where else for the franchise to go, especially after three beloved features and a handful of winning shorts. "Toy Story That Time Forgot," a 22-minute Christmas special airing on ABC on December 2nd, should put those fears of the franchise's creative longevity to rest; this is a weird and wild mini-movie, a new Christmas classic, and proof that there are untold avenues of experimentation within the "Toy Story" universe. After watching "Toy Story That Time Forgot," June 16th, 2017 will seem really far away. Instead of focusing on Woody or Buzz (or one of Andy's beloved playthings from the first two films), the emphasis is placed squarely on Trixie (Kristen Schaal...

Toy Story 4 is still a few years away, but in the meantime we’ll get to spend some quality time with Woody and Buzz this Holiday season. A half-hour TV special titled Toy Story That Time Forgot will reunite all our favourite toys with a special focus on Trixie (Kristen Schaal), a triceratops who is initially eager to play with other dinosaur toys.
Toy Story That Time Forgot features the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Kristen Schaal, Kevin McKidd, Wallace Shawn, Timothy Dalton, Don Rickles, and Joan Cusack. Hit the jump to check out the teasers.

Disney has released a short new promo trailer for Pixar's upcoming holiday special, Toy Story That Time Forgot. I've always enjoyed these little franchise shorts that Pixar and Disney create. They're fun to watch, especially with the kids.
This half-hour TV special focuses on Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang as they encounter a line of reptilian warrior action figures who don’t know they’re action figures.
After a post-Christmas play date, the Toy Story gang finds themselves in uncharted territory when the coolest set of action figures ever turn out to be dangerously delusional. If the gang hopes to return to Bonnie’s room, they’ll have to rely on Trixie the triceratops.
The original cast is back to reprise their roles including Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants, Don Rickles as Mr.

If you haven't learned by now, franchises are never really dead in Hollywood. They get remade, rebooted, spunoff, or reimagined, and for a series as lucrative as "Toy Story," it was only a matter of time before another movie was in the works. A year after the "final" movie, "Toy Story 3," hit, Tom Hanks revealed another movie is on the way. And while Pixar has focused on "Toy Story" shorts ever since ("Hawaiian Vacation," "Small Fry," "Partysaurus Rex") and a pair of holiday specials (2013's "Toy Story of Terror" and next month's "Toy Story That Time Forgot")... surprise, surprise a full sequel is coming. During their earnings call with investors this afternoon, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced "Toy Story 4" will arrive on June 16th, 2017. But perhaps more intriguing is that John Lasseter—now chief creative officer at Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and DisneyToon Studios...

Well, it seems your favorite toys are returning.
Disney CEO Bob Iger, whose rocky rise to power is brilliantly detailed in James B. First of all, the "Toy Story" gang (led by Tom Hanks's Woody and Tim Allen's Buzz Lightyear) haven't exactly been absent from our hearts.
