- Alice (Perrine Gilbert) waits near a dark churchyard. She places a phone call to her boyfriend Remi, (Jérôme Ivain) but only gets his voicemail. She does not know what she should do since he is late in meeting her and it is very late at night. She is attacked from behind, tackled and presumably raped. Remi exercises furious thinking to himself he needs to seek revenge. He regrets his luck with his father's health and his girlfriend recent attack Remi's father William (Joël Grimaud) gives him a new cell phone saying it would help with his social life. His father feels Remi's dressing up and patrolling the seats at night seeking revenge is foolish. He suggests that Remi become a policeman or a lawyer would be more pragmatic approach. He also suggests that if he so enjoys the drama, he should pursue a career in acting. Remi tries to see us girlfriend at her house, but her brother Julian (Jean-Luc Voyeux) sends him away. Julian blames what happened to his sister on Remi's unexplained absence. It is Julian and not Alice who will not permit him to see his girlfriend. When Remi finally gets access to Alice, she asks him where he was that night. He says the reason he was not there is complicated and he will tell her later when she is healthier. Le Chapelier, Julian is a struggling business man. He confronts a man who has financed his hat shop with a watch in found in the churchyard ruins. He knows that his is L'Agresseur (Guy Laroy) who attacked his sister. When Julian leaves, the other man is face down at the table. The next day Remi reads about a poisoning in the paper. He knows that Alice's brother is involved. He leaves to seek out Alice. Alice and Julian wait in a car at the churchyard. Remi appears in costume. Julian says Remi has been useless in protecting her sister. Remi tells Julain he knows it is he who avenged her sister's attacker. Her brother throws coffee in Remi's face. Remi relives the night in the park when he was confronting some street thugs trying to send them home. He got knock unconscious in a fight when Alice was attacked. Remi goes on to say that he had thought there was time before his date with Alice and had forgotten his mobile phone at home. He knew something was wrong when he saw her wondering across the square after the rape. All he could do was take her home The police arrive and arrest Julian for murdering Allce's attacker. Alice appears to forgive Remi.
