I've seen quite a few documentaries over the years about WWII--and several of these about the final days of the war. However, much of what I saw in "Fortress Berlin" today caught me by surprise, as I'd never realized just how extensive and complicated the defenses to the city were. Sure, I had seen shows about Hitler's bunker but didn't realize that this was just the beginning. Additionally, I didn't realize that there'd been one location where 4000 people all committed suicide just as Berlin fell. To me, an exceptional documentary is one that teaches you something new-and I learned a lot here. This really isn't surprising, though, as EVERY episode of "Nazi Mega Weapons" brought surprises and were all exquisitely made. Well worth seeing.
