We can debate all day which comic book hero is cooler: DC or Marvel? Superman or Spiderman? Justice League or The Avengers? Batman or anyone who isn’t cool enough to be Batman? But it’s no question that Marvel has a serious leg-up on DC in the movie business.
Outside of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, DC has had a harder time making their characters stick and is even behind the ball in planning their lineup of films. Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel was one of the highest grossing films of last year, but it was forgotten as a dour, colorless, over-important mess as soon as it arrived. And yet this model may be the template DC is pursuing with all their future projects.

I’m not gonna lie to you: I went into tonight’s So You Think You Can Dance Top 6 performance episode with my mind made up.
Rudy and Tanisha got robbed last week. Valerie had no business being in the Top 6. For justice to prevail, the Season 11 crown could only end up in one spot: Atop Ricky’s artistically dazzling head.

Fox has passed on picking up Tina Fey's multicamera comedy TV series "Cabot College" and has declined to pick up the options on the cast, meaning the project is effectively dead.
Matt Hubbard penned the script which landed at Fox following a multiple-network bidding war with a hefty series commitment attached. The project was subsequently picked up to pilot and was considered a frontrunner for a six-episode order.
That changed when Fox chairman Kevin Reilly stepped down and studio chiefs Dana Walden and Gary Newman were tapped to oversee the network. As with any studio executive regime change, projects which look assured under the predecessor's run are now on shaky ground.

Fox’s Tina Fey and Robert Carlock–produced comedy project Cabot College, about an all-female school that begins accepting male students, won’t be moving forward to series. This is not a complete shocker: The network didn’t pick up the project last May when it announced its new series orders, a sure sign execs weren’t all that happy with how the pilot turned out. Industry trades suggested the network was keeping its options open, however — until today. An industry source confirms to Vulture that Cabot, whose cast included Margaret Cho and Asif Ali, is now completely dead. The good news for Fey: She gets to keep all those points she earned by financing the pilot on her American Express EveryDay card.

Tina Fey’s Cabot College failed to make the grade at Fox.
In a rare misfire for the 30 Rock star, the network has passed on the half-hour comedy from Fey and her frequent collaborators Robert Carlock and Matt Hubbard, Variety reports.
The project, which was to star Asif Ali, Margaret Cho, Fortune Feimster, Jack Cutmore-Scott and Bonnie Dennison, centered on a women’s college that started accepting men for the first time.
Fox, under then-president Kevin Reilly, gave Cabot College a straight-to-series order last summer. Ultimately, only a pilot episode was shot.

Hgtv was planning on airing a new house-flipping show, Flip It Forward. However, following a revelation by Right Wing Watch that the proposed show’s hosts had a history of religious bigotry, stalking an abortion doctor and anti-gay activities like protesting pride celebrations. Hgtv has cancelled the show.
Let’s start with the good news. Despite rumors that Fox might give in to the powerful influence of producer Seth MacFarlane, Fox has decided to cancel the offensive, unfunny Dads. Unfortunately, there’s also bad news — the promising and endearing Enlisted (also the Chris Meloni sitcom Surviving Jack, which inspired strong feelings in few people). In worse news for comedy, the network also passed on two promising-sounding pilots, Dead Boss and Fatrick. Fatrick reunited Ray Ford with Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 creator Nahnatchka Kajhan. Dead Boss was a remake of a British comedy with Jane Krakowski and Amy Sedaris.
