Big Mom has one of the largest families in the history of One Piece. Her family, also known as the Charlotte family, comprises 85 children, of whom 39 are daughters and 46 are sons. She has had these children since she was eighteen, and she has taken 43 husbands, with her eldest son being Charlotte Perospero and her eldest daughter being Charlotte Compote.
Big Mom Pirates
While all the children of Big Mom have been shown in the series, her husbands have been kept a mystery except for Pound, who is Big Mom’s 25th husband and the father of Charlotte Chiffon and Charlotte Lola. The main reason behind Big Mom’s husband being a mystery is that they are not very relevant to the One Piece narrative.
However, according to the One Piece theory, one of Big Mom’s husbands was the captain of the Beast Pirates, Kaido, and together they had three children: Katakuri,...

Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece has introduced an indefinite amount of characters in his story since its beginning. Almost every character is unique and has left a mark on the story no matter how small or big his/her role is. But sometimes even Oda is not able to fully explore the potential of the characters he brings into the story. One such character is Baron Tamago, one of the Knight-ranked fighters from the Big Mom Pirates.
Baron Tamago – One Piece
While Baron Tomago did not have much of an impact on the storyline of the Whole Cake Island arc, his Devil Fruit is what piqued the interest of One Piece fans. Tamago ate the Egg Egg Devil Fruit, which is a Zoan type of Devil Fruit, and just like other Zoan fruits, Tamago’s devil fruit granted him an additional ability that had unlimited potential in the One Piece world,...

Rivalries between two members of the same group or organization are common occurrences in the anime world and One Piece takes it to a whole new level. Characters like Shanks and Mihawk are known to have lifelong rivalry with each other which helps in making the storyline even more interesting.
Zoro and Sanji Rivalry
One such interesting rivalry that fans love is seen between Roronoa Zoro and Vinsmoke Sanji, the wings of the future Pirate King. Although both are part of the same crew, they have been at each other’s throats since the beginning of the story. This has also led to the One Piece fans being divided into two groups, one that supports Sanji while the other who supports Zoro.

Monkey D. Luffy, the newly recognized Emperor of the Sea in One Piece, is currently in a battle against one of the strongest villains in the series, the Five Elders. All the Five Elders have reached the Egghead Island arc and trying their best to stop Luffy from escaping the island and capture him while also stopping Vegapunk’s announcement.
Monkey D. Luffy in One Piece
Luffy has come a long way since the beginning of the series. When he was initially introduced in One Piece, fans could have never assumed in a million years that with his powers, his physical appearance, and his attitude, he would be one of the strongest characters in the series and would be the only individual who is the closest to being the King of the Pirates.
However, one thing that Eiichiro Oda has taught us is that the strongest doesn’t always win the fight.

Sanji, the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates is one of the wings of the future King of the Pirates. He is one of the most important and powerful members of the Straw Hat Crew, and their captain, Monkey D. Luffy, himself stated that he won’t be able to become the King of the Pirates if Sanji is not a part of his crew.
Sanji from One Piece
Sanji’s character is brilliantly written by Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece as witnessed during the Whole Cake Island arc. He is considered one of the most underrated characters in the series but his influence is much more than fans recognize, especially in terms of battles and fights.
Sanji only uses his legs in combat but still manages to defeat his enemies. He has an array of attacks but the strongest among those are Diable Jambe and Iftrit Jambe.

One Piece fan theories often leave the fans speechless with their level of imagination. Eiichiro Oda has a habit of keeping secrets until he believes it to be the perfect time to reveal them. As a result, the fans get impatient and develop their theories. Several theories are genuinely true, while others feel to be too farfetched.
One of the bizarre fan theories in One Piece is surrounding Vinsmoke Sanji. It had been there for some time but recently once again made headlines. The fan theory claims the chef of the Straw Hat Pirates is a clone of the original Vinsmoke Sanji, with memories of the latter. When the time comes, he can betray the Straw Hat Pirates according to the command he receives.

He has developed these tales in his format and has created a story that is loved by millions of people. Be it characters, arcs, fights, or plotline development, multiple aspects of the story have been influenced by other things.

The awards ceremony for the 74th Berlin International Film Festival kicks off Saturday night, where this year’s jury, headed by 12 Years a Slave and Black Panther actress Lupita Nyong’o, will hand out the coveted Gold and Silver Bears.
Maryam Moghaddam and Behtash Sanaeeha’s Iranian drama My Favourite Cake is being given good odds for an award this year. The drama, about a 70-year-old widow and her tentative attempts at romance with an age-appropriate taxi driver, was a critical fave. A win for the film would also send a political message after the Iranian government banned the directors from attending Berlin. If the jury picks out Cake for the Golden Bear it would be the third time in 10 years —following Jafar Panahi’s Taxi (2015) and There Is No Evil (2020) from Mohammad Rasoulof —that Berlin has given its top honor to Iranian directors in absentia. Since the debut of the One Piece anime, the one allegation that has been haunting the creators of the series is that they overly sexualize their female characters. Be it Nami or Bonney, many fans believe that Toei Animation goes out of its way to flaunt One Piece’s female characters which is unjustified.
Nami and Robin
These accusations regarding the alleged objectification of women in One Piece have significantly grown after the time skip and while Eiichiro Oda has many times stated that they have never intended to do such a thing, the anime scenes and portrayals say otherwise. This has also severely affected the One Piece series.
Although there have not been many serious allegations that could rupture the reputation One Piece has built over the years, they tend to shift the focus of the story from the plotlines and characters to such issues which is never a...

Like taxis on a rainy night, you wait for ages for a great, bittersweet film about love in late middle age with a side helping of gastronomic lusciousness — and then two come along at once. Tehran-set but internationally-produced comedy-drama My Favourite Cake premiered at the Berlin Film Festival a day after Valentine’s Day. That day just so happened to overlap with the release of French drama The Taste of Things in several key territories. (Taste opened in the U.S. on Feb. 9.)

Actress Scarlett Johansson finally escaped our long-running photo gallery of the greatest living actresses to never receive an Oscar nomination. And she did it in grand style by picking up two for her 2019 films “Marriage Story” and “Jojo Rabbit.” Just recently, Kirsten Dunst had been in our gallery for years and then earned her first Academy Award bid for “The Power of the Dog.” Emily Blunt was finally nominated for “Oppenheimer” years after winning her first SAG Award for “A Quiet Place.”
In 2014, “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston looked like a lock to receive her first Academy Award nomination for “Cake,” following citations at the Golden Globes, SAG, and Broadcast Film Critics. Yet on Oscar morning, the Emmy-winner was left out. Aniston’s “Friends” costar and fellow Emmy-victor Lisa Kudrow found herself in a similar situation when she received an Independent Spirit Awards nomination for “The Opposite of Sex” yet came up short at the Oscars.

Aniston’s “Friends” costar and fellow Emmy-victor Lisa Kudrow found herself in a similar situation when she received an Independent Spirit Awards nomination for “The Opposite of Sex” yet came up short at the Oscars.

Hulu’s adaptation of Charmaine Wilkerson’s debut, “Black Cake,” delves into the intricate roots of a mysterious family tree. It skillfully navigates the journey of a family unraveling the complex and often tragic past of their mother, Eleanor Bennett, following her demise.
Eleanor (portrayed by Chipo Chung) passes away in Southern California, leaving behind a history unknown to her family, including her estranged daughter Benny (played by Adrienne Warren from “The Woman King”) and ambitious son Byron (Bashy from “Top Boy”). Eleanor’s will discloses an audio recording filled with long-buried secrets. Benny and Byron, not on the best of terms, discover a note instructing them to share a small black cake in the freezer when the time is right.
The series draws its name from a Caribbean dessert, reflecting its own intricate history. Like the tale told in “Black Cake,” this dessert, soaked in rum and laden with fruits,...

The new Hulu limited series “Black Cake” spans not just decades but continents and class structures – all of which made for some pretty impressive challenges for costume designer Hayley Nebauer.
Based on the best-selling book by Charmaine Wilkerson and executive produced by Oprah Winfrey, the eight-episode series moves from the 1940s into the present day, with stops in Jamaica, London, Italy, and Southern California. The show focuses on a woman named Eleanor, whose death unearths many secrets from the past – particularly what happened when she was a young teenager in Jamaica who went by the name of Covey. Mia Isaac stars as the young Covey, with Adrienne Warren and Bashy as Eleanor’s adult children who must reckon with a series of audio recordings their mother left behind as part of her will. “Women of the Movement” and “13 Reasons Why” writer Marissa Jo Cerar is the “Black Cake” creator and showrunner.

Before Daniel Craig was James Bond, he starred in Layer Cake, a stylish crime drama directed by Matthew Vaughn and based on the novel of the same name by author J.J. Connolly. It’s not a film about a carefully crafted cake with multiple layers and delicious filling. Vaughn’s Layer Cake refers to the layers (or levels) anyone in business goes through while rising to the top of the food chain.
Craig plays an unnamed man in the film known as Xxxx, while Vaughn’s interpretation of the story differs from Connolly’s novel. In the book, Xxxx and his hired gunman wait in a park to kill the off-screen antagonist, Dargon. While in the garden, they shoot an American tourist, mistaking him for Dragon. Initially, the movie would have done the same, but Sony Pictures was uncomfortable with killing an American and asked for the scene to be changed.

The showrunner for the Adventure Time spin-off, Fionna & Cake, explained the big twist in the fourth episode.
In Adventure Time, Fionna and Cake were the in-universe fanfiction of the Ice King, based on the heroes of Ooo, Finn & Jake. But Adventure Time and Fionna & Cake showrunner Adam Muto wanted to push Fionna and her feline friend to be more than a "girl Finn" and Jake.
To accomplish that, the two had to move beyond being the borderline creepy fanfiction of an old man, so the first thing that had to be changed was their origin in the new HBO Max spin-off.

Cake decorating maestro Buddy Valastro wants to show the world that he’s not just about constructing impossibly extravagant desserts. And though he’s made cakes for NASA that can blast off a confectionary rocket and a toilet bowl–shaped cake that really flushes, Valastro notes that his long-running series Cake Boss “only showed one dimension” of him. The Carlo’s Bakery owner flashes his entrepreneurial skills for Cake Dynasty. Below, Buddy sounds off. Cake Dynasty really shines a light on the empire you’ve built. What can viewers expect to see from your business ventures that might surprise them? Buddy Valastro: I run a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility where we might have to do 10,000 cakes in a day or 60,000 cake slices. We’re about to go into retail, so we’re going to be selling ...

Adventure Time showrunner Adam Muto explained what's unique about Fionna that sets her apart from Finn in the new spin-off series, Fionna & Cake.
Fionna is the gender-swapped version of one of the original Adventure Time protagonists, Finn. The character made her debut in Adventure Time Season 3's ninth installment where it was revealed that she, alongside her cat Cake, was Ice King's creation.
Since then, Fionna appeared in several more episodes of Adventure Time before ultimately starring in her own spin-off show with Cake from Max.

Fans weren't happy at the news of Kumail Nanjiani being recast in the newest Adventure Time spin-off, Fionna and Cake, but it appears it wasn't a choice he made willingly.
Before being cast as the Wish Master, Prismo, in 2012, Nanjiani was a relatively unknown comedian. However, he slowly began to garner fame over the years, with his role as Dinesh Chugtai in HBO's Silicon Valley in 2014, in the romantic comedy The Big Sick, and finally a lead in Eternals as Kingo.
The last time Nanjiani voiced the Cosmic Entity was in the video game Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion in 2018, so while it's been years since he voiced the character, fans were still shocked to learn of his recasting.

Following Adventure Time‘s conclusion in 2018, some storytelling doors were left wide open. One unexplored idea was the multiverse, which existed in the canon long before the modern era of TV and film had multiverse mania. In the latest At limited series, Fionna and Cake, that long-awaited promise die-hard fans anticipated is finally fulfilled thanks to the canonical gender-swapped characters. And it all happens in a bold new dimension unlike any Adventure Time series to date.
Much of the original show’s audience was around pre-teen to teenage ages. Those fans are now in their 20s, experiencing new adult emotions like depression and dissatisfaction that didn’t spin through their minds as children. That all corresponds directly to Fionna Campbell (Madeleine Martin), a Bridget Jones-esque young woman living in a small studio apartment in a non-magical, metropolitan town where many notable Ooo residents are human like her best friends...

James Bond casting director Debbie McWilliams says that younger actors lack the "mental capacity" to play 007.McWilliams revealed that younger stars had auditioned to play the legendary spy in the 2006 film 'Casino Royale' but the part eventually went to Daniel Craig, who was 38 at the time, as Bond bosses felt he could handle the "responsibility" of playing the iconic role. The casting director, who has worked on the franchise since 1981, told RadioTimes.com: "When we started, it was a slightly different feel."We did look at a lot of younger actors, and I just don't think they had the gravitas. They didn't have the experience, they didn't have the mental capacity to take it on, because it's not just the part they're taking on, it's a massive responsibility."Craig portrayed Bond in five films across 15 years and McWilliams explained how his rising talent was a factor in the...

Recently, I had the chance to travel to San Francisco, where I was able to visit Pixar Animation Studios as they prepped for the theatrical release of their latest film, Elemental. Coming from The Good Dinosaur‘s Peter Sohn (who you may have heard as the voice of Sox the cat in Lightyear), the film takes place in Element City, a place where the four elements, water, earth, air, and fire, live in harmony – or close. The concept for this is pretty interesting, as the city is shown to be populated by residents who fall into each of the four elemental categories. It’s challenging to explain exactly what they are as they’re not “fire or water people” but rather individuals that are actually made of the element they represent. They interact with each other as such.
The city itself is a hopeful place where the elements live together,...
