Fox has rounded out the cast of its comedy Weird Loners adding Meera Rohit Kumbhani as a series regular opposite Becki Newton, Nate Torrence and Zachary Knighton. Written by Michael Weithorn and directed by Jake Kasdan for 20th TV, the six-episode, single-camera ensemble comedy tells the story of four relationship-phobic people who are unexpectedly thrust into one another’s lives and form an unlikely bond in a townhouse in Queens, NY. Kumbhani will play Zara, a beautiful young bisexual woman who’s also a free-spirited artist and lifelong heartbreaker who makes people fall in love with her, then unceremoniously dumps them as soon as things get even a smidge serious. Clear Talent Group-repped Kumbhani appeared most recently on ABC drama Black Box and previously on Carpe Noctem and NYC 22.
