Charlie meets with Loretta's agent Clyde Muncie (played by uncredited character actor Harry Basch, 1926-2020). Clyde tells Charlie that Loretta could land a role in the hoedown scene of the AIP movie 'Blood Monsters of Macon County Beach' if she looks good in a bikini (Charlie assures him that she does). The film title is fictional, but American International Pictures was an independent film production and distribution company in operation from 1954 until its acquisition by Filmways in 1979. AIP churned out schlocky but popular drive-in fare that sometimes boasted bloody monsters and beach parties. The film's title is likely a reference to AIP's then-recent release Macon County Line (1974).
