- Ellen: [Ellen gets pulled over by a police officer] Hello, officer, was I speeding?
- Officer Ritts: No, ma'am. Can I see your license and registration, please?
- [Ellen gives it to the officer]
- Ellen: Did I run a stop sign?
- Officer Ritts: No. You're tags are expired.
- Ellen: Oh,
- [she scoffs]
- Ellen: wow, my husband usually takes care of that. Um, he must've forgotten. He worked for the department, Mike Plainview, Do you know him?
- Officer Ritts: No, I don't believe I do.
- [she is writing Ellen a ticket]
- Ellen: Do you seriously have to write me a ticket?
- Officer Ritts: Yeah, they're really cracking down on us so, we have to go through the motions.
- [the officer gives Ellen the ticket]
- Ellen: I've never been pulled over in my life.
- Officer Ritts: Take care of it in fourteen days, it wont be a problem. Drive safely, now.
- Ellen: Thank you?
